  1. Hello all. I am in a very difficult position right now and I have no clue where to go from here. I just recently took the NET exam for the second time, and once again I did not meet the requirements. I am so frustrated, but I REFUSE to give up. Does anyone know of any nursing schools that do not require the NET exam or do not require an entrance exam at all? I have really good grades and a very good GPA in school but apparently do not do well on tests such as the NET exam. I will be graduating from Georgia Perimeter with my associate's degree in pre-nursing this coming summer, so I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do. I am considering backing up and going to LPN school. Maybe it's just not my time to be an RN quite yet. Would do you all suggest? Should I still try and pursue being an RN or just go ahead and try for LPN school? I am in need of some advice! Thanks so much!! Mallory
  2. I was so excited to get my exam back today in A&P to see that I made a high B. I did not do well at all on my first exam, so I was happy to see I'm making improvement! I think I've finally got my learning pattern down...which is great news! We started going over the muscles today...seems like it's gonna be pretty tough. But I know I can do anything I put my mind to. Anybody got any advice on the muscles chapter? How did you guys study for it? I am also taking the NET Exam a week from this saturday...any advice? I've taken it once before but did not do so hot, I feel as if I'm better prepared this time. I would be appreciate any advice from you guys! thanks! Mallory :)
  3. Sorry, meant to say I ALSO might apply to..
  4. Well I go to Georgia Perimeter now, and they have a great nursing program so I know I'm for sure that I'm applying there. I almost might apply to Georgia Baptist College of Nursing and Kennesaw University. What about yourself? With the information I have gathered about becoming a CNA, I'm probably just going to run in to a couple of local nursing homes and see if any one would train me. If not, well I guess it's fate :) lol. I really wanted to get some experience under my belt before starting nursing school. I'm sure the experience would help out alot :).
  5. Thank you so much for the info! I just got an account on here and I'm already loving it :) Definitely let me know if you get a job, good luck and thanks again!
  6. I know you posted this in April, but if you don't mind me asking...did you find a job? I am in the same position now, that you were then. I am applying for nursing school this coming up spring semester and I'm trying to figure out what jobs I should apply or whether, what jobs I CAN apply for. Unlike you, I do not have a CNA license. How do you get that? I guess the only thing I can do is look for internships or volunteer work.
  7. Hello. I am having a hard time finding a job. My problem is that I am a pre-nursing student, I only have two more classes to take before I can apply to nursing schools. Is there anything I can apply for in the medical field? The only medical experience I have had is working at dermatologist's office over the summer, working with pathology slides and answering phones and making appointments. I looked into CNA's and medical assistants, but you have to have experience for that. I live in Eatonton, GA...so if there is anybody who lives close do you have any ideas of anything that could be in the Milledgeville, Macon, Madison, Covington area? Also, I am taking the NET exam next month, any tips or suggestions? thanks so much!
