  3. Hi Texaspancho. Did they send you a letter or an email letting you know you were selected to take Pharmacology? I just took the HESI on May 8th and passed all sections with 90 or better. They said I would be notified this week if I am selected to take Pharma ... haven't heard nothing yet. I wonder what do they look for when selecting student to take pharm... sigh
  4. ... I have heard that Pharmacology is like a weaving out class. In order to be consider for the program, you must pass the class with no lower than a C and a math test that is given at the end of the course with a 90 .
  5. yes. once you apply, you will pick a date to take the hesi. if you pass all sections, hcc will contact you to enroll in pharmacology; however, you must be selected … i’m guessing from the pool of people who passed the test. i’m not sure what they look for in their selection process. @ blue_river - good luck!!!!!!

  7. I PASSED!!!!! A&P: 92 Grammar: 94 Math: 96 Reading: 88 The A&P is somewhat basic and it's only 25 or so questions Things you might want add to your studying if you have not already. Components of the CNS, their location relative to each other, and functions Hormones of the Pituitary and their functions Know the valves of the heart and their alterative names e.g. Bicusps aka mitrial Anatomical terms: the mains one e.g brachial - arm (this will help you with identifying arteries/vein, bones etc. Know the organs that are located in each the cavites of the body (thoracic, pelvic, abdominal, plerual, cavities, etc.) The functions of the white blood cells The menstrual cycle to fertilization Vessels that carry blood away and to the heart Function of the glands of integumentary system Know what Chalazion is and the result of lactic acid build up in the blood Good Luck Blue_River!!!!!!
  8. I will surely let you know .... NERVOUS!!!!! I hope i'm not over studying for the A&P part. Does anyone know if it's just basic A&P or are there detailed questions on the test? I think I have Math and Grammar down packed ... and A&P, if the questions dont got into too much detail, like "most of the Na+ is reabsorbed in what part of the renal tubule?" Do you remember how many reading passages that were on the test? Thanks ... Nervousssss \:-)
  9. Is the HESI test at HCCS timed per section or are you given 4hrs to complete the whole HESI test? I take my test on May 8th .... Thanks for your response. :)
