  1. Colorado State University - Pueblo University of Arizona Good post! I have been wondering this myself. :)

Thank you so much for the info! I was wondering how stand-by works. Although now I'm still wondering how many people have a higher GPA than me on that list. haha. Oh well, can't change it now. I really didn't want to retake any pre-req classes, but I still have one more pre-req to take, so maybe my GPA will go up next semester...hmmm. I have heard the program is disorganized, but I'm actually in a community college nursing program right now and I can't imagine anything being more frustrating than what I've put up with this semester, so if anything, I'll be prepared. Also, good to hear that a lot of your class was on the stand-by list...hope that bodes well for me this year! Anyway, I really appreciate your info and if I end up getting accepted, I will probably throw tons more questions your way.

I want to go to Pueblo because it's close to home and I have family there. :) Funny because for my first degree, I couldn't get far enough away from home and my family! My priorities are different this time around. Also, I just want the BSN degree ASAP and there are few accelerated programs in Colorado that I was even eligible for. For example, UNC requires that you be a CNA first, I missed the deadline for Metro State because my degree didn't show up on my transcript in time, I'm 3 religious studies credits short from being eligible to apply for Regis, and so on and so forth!
  4. Katie, could you give me an update on how school's going? Also, could you give me any more info about your standby situation - like did you know what number you were in line? I also got placed on standby for the upcoming year and I really want to get in!!! Any more info would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

I got put on "stand-by"! I'm wondering how many people that get waitlisted actually end up getting in. I don't know what number I am on the wait list, but I am praying that not everyone who got in will end up actually attending because I really want to go to CSU Pueblo!!!

Hi! I'm the original poster (plastic_cow28). I lost my password and wasn't able to reset it, so I have a new screenname! Anyway, thanks for the info, glenarm_girl. I'm not sure what my prereq GPA is. I'd have to recalculate it! It wasn't super high, but it was above a 3.0. When do you think they'll have the decisions made? I'm so nervous! I have no idea how many applicants there are and how many are accepted.
  8. Hi, all! Does anyone have tips for maintaining long distance relationships while in nursing school? My boyfriend and I have been near each other for the past 3 years, but I just moved to start nursing school. It's been 3 weeks since I started school and it's been a difficult 3 weeks at that! :) Maybe it's better he's not here - he is pretty distracting and my grades have been solid so far - or maybe that's just me trying to look on the bright side. I'm looking forward to hear from anyone who's been there, done that, or doing that right now! Thanks, H
