  1. Clinicals are conducted within hospital setting. My instructor told us clinicals starts during fourth quarter. Credits transfer in with no problem. If you took the class already that is similar to the curriculum you willnt have a problem and the cost of your tuition is reduced. The bad: they charge 600.00 for medical kit that isn't worth it. Get everything in writting or copies
  2. I remember seeing some programs that will accept other BSN degrees an you have to complete certain amount of hours or something like that I not 100% sure. GOOGLE HAS EVERYTHING you want to research on, but I suggest you call the schools to find out
  3. I attended a community college before i started going to Itt. I honestly hated the the CC in a way because many of the schools put you through so many different classes and development classes besides prequistes to unweave your inner pants pockets. The upside is transfereable credits. Hands down I rather start something new and benifitual then wait X amount of time or years to get a BSN. But the funny thing is that each state varies on what they accept credit wise and some require u to complete X amount of hours for them in order to earn credit. Coming out of a University or ITT doesnt matter. Its really a personal life decisional preference, but the employer will hire you regardless of School. U sit for the same NCLEX-RN boards as everyone else. And i have called and talked to several schools in the Missouri area about BSN completion in the future, and all is fine and dandy to me.
  4. I would agree that the program is on the high side lol. But I dont care honestly, going to a university to pay high dollar is going to equate to the same amount in my opinion. And yes, there is no waiting list, so thats even better for me and a disadvantage for someone at a community college or university waiting for there number to be selected. Many schools have a 1 1/2 year wait in which i would be 3/4 of the way complete and into my profession. And who ever is going on about the credits no transfering crap can stop it. There are several on-line universities offereing RN-to BSN completion degrees and even in class lecture, so i would suggest researching around before spectulating mis understood information. Lastly, ask your employer how much a new grad makes out the gate with both BSN and ADN degrees and you will see there is no difference at all, mainly in the hospitals. Experience plays a huge role in that part
  5. I attend in Missouri..What you wanna know??? I wouldn't worry about employers on that note. I work in BJC hospital, and they will accept my RN degree once I pass NCLEX-RN. And BJC is a major healthcare organization. The cost of the program is high though no lie. But if you have credits from other colleges they will transfer in and lower your overall cost of the program. There is alot of papers and assignments which is expected because the instructors want you to think like a nurse and be able to handle the work load because the workforce isn't easy lol. There is no waiting list either, you just have to past the HESI test with a 70 percent or better, and be within the top 20 because our school only selected 20 students. Umm..our nursing NU100 class was held on every monday for 11 weeks and I had to take this other GEN ED course which is super easy. The instructors are top notch in my opinion because Itt-Tech is trying to build a reputation and there are so many people out there who will feed you B.S. and hate on your dream goals. Lastly, I would suggest getting signed up for a seminar to see if you like it and then go from there.
  6. HESI is free lol. I attend NURSING in Missouri at ITT-Tech. Transfer credits also depends on the University or other school requirements. Furthermore, I have researched and have found many schools in my area who has the RN to BSN program, and only require that your license is current in the state of Missouri. But not all schools offer this advantage, but I do know you have to do your research to find out exactly who will take what!!
  7. That would be great to stay in touch. I am craving for some nurse action lol. I work in an emergency room now at my hospital, so i have plenty experience. Also I would like to know if your nursing classes are held on Mondays still during the second quarter?
  8. Hello I attend the Nursing program in Missouri, and everything is going well. I have talked to head people of the BJC(Barnes Jewish Hospital Healthcare) for which I work for, and getting hired as a RN is not an issue. I would say that some colleges may not accept ITT-Tech credits for transfering, but I do know we are up for review for the NLNAC site. We are going into our sencond semester soon, and I would say that the first semester is boring
