I'm a CRNA student considering Texas when I'm done. I keep hearing that texas CRNA pay is so big because of, among other things, high rates of litigation driving up malpractice insurance. Does anyone have any info about the legal issues in texas for CRNAs? Thanks Tenkev

I'm interviewing for a couple of nurse anesthesia schools here in the US. I lived in the UK for a couple of years and am interested in comming back in a few years, most likely to just visit, but would like the option to work too. Does the UK use nurse anesthetists yet?

traumacrna, My stats are not as impressive as the rest of you guys I've seen here. The only thing I can think of that might have given me the edge is that the SICU I work in has great opportunities: -Heart, Lung, Renal transplants -Post op hearts -Trauma I pts that cover 5 states -Balloon Pumps -LVADS/BIVADS But I don't know how your experience compares GRE: 1100/4 GPA: 3.74 BSN 4yrs as a Tech and 14 months as an RN in the SICU Great Letters of Rec ACLS/PALS Anyway good luck and don't give up. It turns out the emailed invitations didn't go out until after 8PM February 12th, at least that's when I got mine. I was told that they would send a confirmation "snail mail" too. Has anyone else gotten an invite?

I'm looking at Baylor College CRNA program in Houston, TX. From what I understand SRNAs share classes and clinicals with med students. Does this cause any problems at all, ie: med students taking priority over SRNAs for clinicals or any other problems? Thanks tenkev
