  1. Hey, I emailed you back but it got returned can you email me at [email protected].
  2. I took the Barkley Review and did not think it helped me. I would get other review manuals and see how you do with those. If you can extend and give yourself a little more time so you pass, its worth it. Good Luck!
  3. Hey all, If anyone is contemplating purchasing the Fitzgerald cd's for the FNP Cert exam or anyother study material I will be happy to answer any questions. I have gotten every study book written and I wish I had someone to check with first. The reviews on the sites are of no help. Having taken the exam, both AANP and ANCC I wil give the best advise I can.
  4. I DID IT!!!!!! I PASSES AANP yesterday. I can't thank up all enough for all of your help and support!!!! You all ROCK!!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:
  5. Verysadmsn, I sent you a private message. kellynp:uhoh3:
  6. Hey its Kelly NP, I know this is bizarre but this is the only way I could think of to respond. Someone sent me an email I believe on Tuesday and I accidentally deleted without saving the address to respond. Whoever did if you read this please email me again so I can get back to you. Hello all!!!!! I love this site, we are like one big family all trying to get by! Thanks to all those who have supported me and continue to do so. Oct. 2nd is the big day!!!:)
  7. KANGOSHI: the overhaul was done to the ANCC not the AANP! Good Luck
  8. NP2005, I'm with you. I took the ANCC more than once and did not pass as well as just failed AANP yesterday. Iam a wreck, Iam not a stupid person, I had all A's in NP school I just can't pass these boards. I graduated in 2003, so I know where you are coming from. Where do you live? I'm in NY, maybe we can have a study group!!!!
  9. Iam a big fat LOOSER, I could not have studied anymore than I did and the computer said "NOT PASSED". Iam just beside myself. Does anyone have any ideas what I should do for next time as in how to prepare better. Iam going to start doing the 15 CE'S I need to re-test. Iam not stupid but I can't pass these boards.....:crying2::crying2:
  10. It wa horrible, it was all theory and protocol and I don't even know what. Out of 175 ?'s I would say that 20 were medical. It was so, so upsetting because I studied an incredible amount but the test was one that no matter how hard I studied I couldn't pass because I studies the wrong stuff. Taking AANP tomorrow, please say a pray, dance anything for me.
  11. oops I meant to ask you not DNP GRAD, how was the AANP exam? Iam re-taking on the 7th of July.
  12. Hey DNP Grad, How was the AANP exam???? kelly np:)
  13. If you don't mind me asking, being that you have taken the ANCC, "new test" and passed, if you were me, how would you re-study all of the theory info. and the "how would you respond" questions. Those questions to me, had 2 good answers and I must have picked the wrong answer. I have more re-view books then you can imagine but Iam not sure where to start. Is it wise to spend time on review questions for AANP? I'm desperate, any advice would be greatly appreciated. kelly:uhoh3:
  14. You name it, I'm either using it or have used it. I have to say that I don't find one review class or book to be better than the other. Best of luck!!!! If I have any pointers I will let you all know after the 7th.
  15. Iam actually scheduled to take the AANP July 7th!!!! Iam sooo nervous after yesterday but I'll keep on plugging! Have you taken the AANP? If so how did you find it?
  16. I flunked yesterday for the exact same reason. I had about 20 clinical questions and the rest were theory, policy and several "how would you respond" I was devastated. Its bad enough to fail but to fail of Theory, ect. not medical issues. I'm sigining up again. Glad to know that soemone else had the same issues. Any more questions give me a yell. Iam still shaking from it. nicole
  17. I'm sorry, where is the longer response? thanks
  18. The Barkley was not a good review.
  19. Hello, Iam taking the ANCC exam June 22nd., anyone have any pointers? This is not my first time taking it and I know its a different exam foramt as of March 1,2010. Has anyone taken the test recently???? Thanks:uhoh3:
  20. Dixiecup, :yeah:CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! YOu go girl!!! Iam re-testing June 22. Can I ask if you had alot of peds, peds. milestones???? Just wondering any feed back woul;d be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  21. BreeLee, CONGRATULATION'S How was it? Iam taking it for the second time June. Was there alot of peds. and peds milestones, and heart murmurs???? Any study tips would be greatly appreciated. I have been using Fitzgerald and Hollier, is that good prep? thanks :)
  22. Please do!!!! Let's keep our fingers crossed for eachother!:)
  23. Breelee, I didn't hear back from you, how did it go???? Let me know. kellynp
  24. :yeah:BREELEE, Iam sooo sorry I just got this email, I don't know what happened. Good Luck tomorrow, kick-ass. Iam scheduled for the test on June 22nd. I have taken the ANCC so many times I lost count and took the AANP only once on 12/16 and studied my butt off and just missed it. It sounds liek you are well prepared. I wasted alot of time on peds. milestones and general peds. that AANP only touched on where ANCC asked alot of questions about. If you have the Hollier review book just review those questions and you will be fine. Would you drop me an email to [email protected] and let me know how it was. Go FOr IT !!!!!!!
