  1. Hey guys, I'm new to this site but I have read some very helpful answers here so I was hoping you could help clarify a question I have. As far as PICC lines are concerned, I've had very little teaching about this. In a standard triple lumen, what are the differences in each of the ports? Are any of them used for specific things? For example, administering TPN, would it go into a certain lumen or would any of them work? And also, drawing labs or pushing meds, which would be best for this? I was just curious if there was some rule of thumb to help me out. Thanks!
  2. I'm scheduled to take the NCLEX in late September and I was wondering what the most recommended study items were? I have the Sylvestri review book and Q/A book and they seem thorough. I haven't taken any review course and I was wondering if it is worth the money because I don't have that much just lying around to waste if it's not worth it. I have also ordered the Lippencott prioritization book because I've heard good things about it. Is there any other resource that I'm missing or that I should look at? How does the Saunders book compare to what I have listed? And I've heard some contradictory things about the Exam Cram so I was a little stand-offish with it.
  3. Well, I have heard that there have been few meds/lab values from all of my fellow students. They have all said that 90% of the test has been prioritization/delegation questions. The state screwed up my paperwork so I have been delayed registering until just this week! I will probably end up taking it at the end of September
