I like PTEC. There are some awesome instructors at the St. Pete Campus. It's fast paced, but it is worth it. Be prepared to study, study, study! I attended SPC prior to going to PTEC and nothing could have prepared me for the amount of homework and studying I was going to have to do. It goes by so fast, you will graduate before you know it. We have several people that drive from Tampa. I know that Erwin Tech has a nursing program. That is in Tampa. Have you looked into that?

I am currently enrolled in the LPN program at Ptec. I know the tuition is a lil more than $500 every fee period, and I think we have 3 fee periods total. I was told by Susan in financial aid that you can get scholarships instead of Pell, so you may want to check there. I ordered my books offline and saved a lot of money that way. Good luck!

Cole, I applied for the August class at St. Pete Ptec. I was accepted and I know from speaking to Sherry that there were about 50 people admitted to the class. That does sound like a lot to me, but I have known people that went through PTECs LPN class and they have told me that some people usually drop out of the program for various reasons. Did you get accepted? I am excited and nervous at the same time. Trying to juggle school, work and family is going to be a hard thing to do. But here's to a great August class! I hope it's the best class yet!
  4. Wow, I can't believe how many people applied for the OCT. online class. Thnakfully i applied and got in to the August St. Pete class. I don't remember that many people being at the admissions seminar for Aug. class. You would think that since there seems to be such a demand for the online classes that they would start them more often. Best of luck to all of you guys applying to the OCT. class.
