RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN prior CRNA program?
you will do just a few more BSN courses incorporated into your MSN. Depending on the school of choice, you are looking at probably 4 or so more BSN courses added to your MSN. Usually it is any one of these combinations, statistics, research in nursing, community health nursing, health assessment, maybe some legal stuff for nursing. These are the usual suspects that factor into ASN-MSN. I personally would jump the BSN. However, that said...when you have your BSN you can pick and choose any program, few questions asked. Good luck.

EC Community-Focused Nursing exam
My goodness, of all the courses to take as an exam, it has to be community focused nursing. The course is huge, the topics are numerous. Instead of EC offering it as an online course, they do courses like teaching across cultures which is totally doable as an exam. I wish EC would start offering community focused nursing as an online course! Soon. I have been studying for the damn course for months afraid to take it and fail it. Each month I forget what I studied before...on and on. Help. Can I wing this one? My GPA is really high at this time and will surely come plummeting with this course. EC allows us to take it at ST JOSEPH'S OF MAINE. but the class is so darn long 15 weeks! yikes.

Any UAB NP students/graduates?
congratulations on becoming an NP. I was/am of the same thought....dreading to do peds because absolutely hate Peds. I wanted to be at UAB but I found that I cannot bridge with UAB. I have to pursue BSN and then do MSN. I have an associate's degree and a bachelors in Arts. I am looking at bridging. I have applied at UNIV OF ST LOUIS.and USA. awaiting responses. What are some of the things that you did when you had to go on campus 2 times throughout this program??

searching for best online program
Did anyone go to ball state or goes to ball state. Is it a good program. No application deadlines. Do they have conferences via vedio, do they teach you or you teach yourself. From what the web site implied it is structured and you do the self teaching following a structure??? St louis sounds promising. Any feed back??

CNS vs. NP
do that. it will take you a year to do it in most states. you will get a whiff of what this whole deal is all about. let me tell you something..all nursing schools are tough as heck! it does not matter where you go. the concepts are the same tough. so buckle up. it will also allow you to earn a nice living while you persue you associates or BSN which would take you longer if you skip the lpn part. at least 2-4 yrs depending on what you decide. lpn is only 12 months. good luck.

Any UAB NP students/graduates?
Do they ever get full and cannot take any more or there is no limit because it is on line?? I mean for uab and usa. I like them for the stupid reason that they are not asking for a resume and an essay about why i want to be a nurse practitioner....ugh!! I have no time for stuff like that. I have been through enough of that already with the on ground schools. 2 rejections so far with a gpa of 3.2 ithought this was descent enough to be admitted. I guess more competition than i thought. Which is why i was happy to hear about usa and uab. St louis is talking about the darn essay also!!!

searching for best online program
i am also looking for an online NP program. cannot afford to stop working while going to school. i have applied to 2 local school. one said that my GPA(3.2) was not competitive enough with against the applicants for the semester i applied for. besides, the schedule was unbelievable. one has to go to class at least 2 times a week. no evening classes no weekend classes. if you want to do full time then it is at least 4 days of classes. which meant that part time study was the only option at 2 days a week at that. otherwise the whole darn thing is 4 years guaranteed. the other one accepted me but the story is the same.....i hope they do not have a class limit since it is on line...unlike ground classes.
