  1. Hi. I was just curious. When is it appropriate to list your RN license as a writer and when not to do it? I can certainly understand doing it if you're writing for a medical or nursing journal, organization, etc. What about other situations? I currently have the opportunity to write for a health coaching organization and I'm unsure if I should or should not list my RN license. Any tips?
  2. Hi. I'm an RN and also a certified health coach (CHC). I'll be writing some articles for a health coaching organization. So, my question is, when do you list your RN license in the by-line? Would it be appropriate to list my RN license while I write health coaching articles? I've seen some people always list their RN license in by-lines and some who only do it when writing a research article. How do you know when to list your RN license as a writer and when not to do it? For example... By: Name, BSN, RN, CHC (OR) By: Name, BSN, CHC I've attempted to search online but didn't find an answer. Hope you can help me. TIA.
  3. Hi NenaRK, I realize this is an old post and not sure what you decided to do. I just wanted to share with you what I found recently. You can check it out and see if its something you would consider. There's a school in Maryland called International Institute of Original Medicine that uses natural approach to healing. Also, have you seen Dr. Greger's website: nutritionalfacts.org? He went to medical school but doesn't believe in medicines. He has research to back up why eating more fruits and veggies can cure diseases. Check it out and let me know what you think. Have a blessed day!
  4. Yes, I've noticed this too, which is why I asked this question...lol. I just recently started searching schools but since its the holiday season I can't talk to anyone in admissions. I'll definitely ask once the school opens up. Just thought I'd ask the community if they knew.
  5. Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question...I currently have about 1 year of RN experience but it is in the psych field. Do I need med-surg experience before I can get into grad school for FNP program? I know FNP programs are very competitive nowadays. Any advise/suggestions are appreciated!
  6. Just wanted to share my experience r/t to Walden. I filled out the "I am interested" info questionnaire on their website for the FNP program. They sent out a generic response to let me know who my admissions counselor would be. So I emailed the admissions counselor with a list of questions (i.e. clinicals, sample schedule, etc.) I never heard back from them. I feel that if they are not interested in answering basic questions, then its not the place for me.
  7. This really helped! Thank you so much!!!
