Yeeeeeaaaayyyy!!!! For healthcare reform
Well my fellow nurses, our President has passed the healthcare bill....what do you think? now just from the few things i have pulled out of the bill, I can't see how any of this will hurt us. If anything i think it would help alot. We will be looking at alot of new hires, due to the demands of nurses and doctors (not like the "demand" now... yeah right) RN's will be looking at a little stress off them because NAI, NAII, and LPN/LVN, will be adding to thier scope of practice, Which inturn means that we would need to fight for better pay (some how I don't think it will be just given) and also means that more Hospitals are going to be kicking out more money to further the education of their staff ($$$ more money that is not going to be taken out of our pockets). And not to meantion rebates given left and right for the money that people are going to have pay for there medicine (which however is going to be decreased by almost 50%). This is just some of the good i see out of it. Feel free to comment.....thanks!

Will the real Dr. House plz stand up!
So I'm wondering how many of you work with a Doctor that really practice like the TV counterpart Dr. House? I mean I sure the writers are getting these ideas from some Rebel Doc out there...right?

YES! Esp. Time Warner Cable, that why I'm in such a rush to finish school! We're always getting written up for sales....I mean I don't know how many of you have TWC for anything? But I know you are paying an arm and leg for it, and then you have people that are still without jobs and they expect us to sale these people new service....and pay for it how???? GESH!

sex in the work place...really?
So I'm watching television.... nursing and hospital shows of course...and they are always showing someone in these shows who is in love with another nurse, or doctor and they always end up having sex while in the hospital. My question is does this really go on at the workplace? How many of you have witness this, heard about it happening, or was one of the parties involved?

Those who can't.....teach?
Okay I decided I think I want to teach CNA classes:idea:...but do I need to have CNA experience before I can do that? or do I have to get my RN first? I think I would really like to teach, instead of working in the position

Guys- what made you want to become a nurse?
uummm....the women duh! no seriously, I chose to be a nurse mostly because I like to help people and hate feeling caged in a cube with a cpu and a phone. I mean the $$$ for nursing isn't that bad as well!

Best shoes for a CNA/Nurse
I like using Nike running shoes as well, and I like to shoe nike shoxs on women...they look good with the srubs, but if you need comfort try Nike Air Max
