  1. Yakima Valley Community College in Yakima has a great ADN program. Half of my class has relocated from other areas of Washington to pursue the degree. The clinicals are great, the class size has been no more than 23 and they have a great NCLEX passing percentage. The only down fall is the city you'd have to get used to, there is good and bad about it, but you can say that about any other city. It's home to other medical programs like WSU's BSN satellite program, UW's physician assistant program and the new Pacific University of Health Sciences. There isn't very much to do there, but it's helpful when all you have time for is studying. I'd highly recommend it.
  2. Have you tried using the Kaplan Nclex strategy book? It gives good examples for answering questions, especially for visual learners/test takers. The 2010 version is very helpful. Good luck and don't give up!
  3. Hi Everybody! I'm a few weeks away from entering my 2nd year of nursing school. I'm scheduled to graduate on June 4, 2010 and am planning a wedding for July 24, 2010. I've been engaged since last November and have realized that trying to plan a wedding and attend nursing school at the same time is complete chaos! I've tried to get a lot of the major details of the wedding out of the way this summer while not in school and will pick up the planning during school breaks. I'm starting to really worry about the wedding date coinciding with when I have to take the NCLEX. I would prefer to take the test before the wedding/honeymoon to keep everything fresh in mind, but have no idea how soon I can schedule the NCLEX after graduating. Has anybody else been in this situation? What is the soonest you can take the test after graduating? Should I move the wedding date back? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
