Decisions decisions... ER vs PACU
I am in your same position almost. Please let me know what you decided and how it turned out for you. I cannot decide between PACU and ER. PACU i have met the people and love the unit. I have very little interactions with the ER.

Ortho/Trauma RN Advice
Hello all, I am interviewing for an ortho/trauma RN position at a Level 1 trauma center in the Texas Medical Center. Do you have any interview tips? Anything special that I should know? I have about 10 months of med/tele experience and that is all. Also, What is there to expect with an ortho/trauma unit? Thank you fellow nurses. Alissa

Interview tips for Ortho/trauma RN
Hi guys, I know this is a late response but I have an interview next week for an ortho/trauma RN at a level 1 trauma center. Can you give me some suggestions on what to expect at the interview. I've only been a med/tele RN with less than a year of experience. This is a very exciting opportunity for me. ALissa

Discouraged RN in Houston
Thanks for the advice. =)... unfortunately I've applied at Triumph, Kindred and Healthsouth. I really wanted my first "nurse" job to be hospital but I'm thinking in 2 months if Im still jobless I'll apply for nursing homes and such. A job is a job. Houston is very flooded, but they don't tell you this when you first sign up for nursing school. Thanks!

Discouraged RN in Houston
I graduated in May 2011 and passed NCLEX and got my license June 2011. Even with my license number I don't even get calls back for interviews. I will randomly get rejection emails, though. Why can't I find a job and is there any advice out there for someone who is broke =).

wow soo many posts today =D... so much to catch up on... well ... I don't even know what book to read. I have a stack of like 15 books and I'm scared of having bought the wrong ones since some of the books were on the syllabus lists and some were only on the announcement list. Does anyone know which ones we should follow? Oh and what book should I be getting a head start on. Lots of Love

Well i do not see my name in the clinical class. How did you sign up for that Russell? Oh and I am pretty proud... fyi to everyone. I got every book that they told us to get from all the syllabus at majors book store... with the discounts and everything for all brand new books it cost me $677... not as bad as I thought. And tuition for me was only $385... really weird.

San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2009
awesome thanks for the list. i went over the 4 syllabus and got a total of 14 "books" as opposed to your 12... is that because you're not buying your 2 Weber health assessment books or something? Or am I missing something.
