I have no idea where u can start however in Ohio where i live i have had a hard time at ltc I don't want to work there anyway but I thought it would be easier to get a job. The BON has told to me to focus on Psych, Dr's offices, and dialysis. I have a interview for dialysis on Sept 1 this is my first interview that wasn't ltc so I am praying that i get the job. I have only had interviews at ltc and I let them know about my situation and they have all been interested in hiring me but because of coorporate policy they don't I would love to to get into corrections thanks I will def try that I will let u know how it turns out. I am praying because I have to be bringing in an income soon!!!!!!!! So u say there was no trace of a record? Would they have hired u if there was?

Flat out this is BS!!! May i ask how in the world are you supposed to fix a credit problem when no one will hire you? Society is getting way to carried away people and nurses aren't perfect.

I just graduated nursing school in April and got my R.N lisence in May. My high school career was much like yours all I did was party and I got horrible grades. I am really bad at math!!!!!!!!!!! So I know you can do this. Good luck! And come to this site whenever you need any questions answered.

I need help I am a new grad and I am having a difficult time finding a job in Ohio. I was given a consent agreement because of a unauthorized use of property that happened 3 years ago. I plead no contest because I am a divorced mother with 3 children and I was in school at the time so I had no money to fight it. What happened was my friend and I were shopping at Kohls and they were having a big sale so ..... we had alot of items in our cart. We went to the register to pay and I had a few items that I bought my son previously that needed to be taken back. The girl at the register said that I could not return them there and needed to go to the back of the store to return them. My friend said "go ahead I will bring your stuff back so you can pay for it there". So she came back with my items; they were on top of her bags that she had paid for in the cart. So I paid for the items and we left the store. When we did security came out yelling at us to come back in the store, so we did. There were a few items in the bottom of the cart. They amounted to 30.00 and I spent 70.00 and my friend spent 90.00 so why would we steal 30.00 worth of stuff and still had money on us. This was not intentional but an accident. Thinking back now I should have lifted her bags out of the cart to make sure everything was out but I just didn't think to. Now I am paying for it big time. This happened before I was accepted to nursing school and to be accepted I had to do a FBI/BCI check and was accepted so why didn't anyone tell me that I may never work as a nurse because of this? Does anyone know what state would be easy on me? Where do they need nurses?

I have a misdemeanor 3 years old for a unauthorized use of property. I am a new grad and I am having a very hard time getting a job. However, I don't think its all due to my background some with the economy. I have been on 4 interviews all LTC and 3 of the jobs I feel I wold have had if I didn't have this on me. I also was working at a hospital while in school and had a job waiting for me. It was taking forever for my license to go through so human resources even though they had done a fbi/bci check 8 months prior wanted a copy of the complaint and then asked me if I would like to quit! She told me the hospitals won't hire me and that I should go to DR's office. Problem with that the ads I have seen want experience. I am 50,000 in in debt for loans. I have 3 children and a sick mother that were all counting on me to bring home the bacon. I now see why when people get out of jail/prison they turn to a life of crime what choice do they have when society won't help.

I to have become extremly depressed. I am worse off now then before I went to school. I have just applied for food stamps and I cannot believe that I am a nurse on food stamps. I became a nurse to better mine and my childerns lives and now we are on the verge of being homeless. I can't even find a job doing anything.
