  1. I actually checked for the BSN and MSN program @ NSU. They are both accredited by CCNE but are up for review this year. My understanding is that the BSN program no longer has NLNAC and that both the BSN & MSN have CCNE accredidation. Please look at the CCNE site for both the bachelors and masters @ NSU. :)
  2. Thanks. I did look at several schools and I think I have made the best choice. I am happy that you got accepted at BCC. I would highly receomend BCC because I feel they really prepare you well for the nursing career. I did the LPN- RN transition online program and it was challenging but I felt well prepared. The teachers can be difficult but if you keep your eyes on the prize you will be just fine.
  3. i decided to go to nsu because i no longer live in florida and i now live in georgia. i first looked at the state universities in georgia and they didn't provide fully online programs or they requested some type of clinical or volunteer hours. in addition; i completed the lpn- rn transition online program at bcc and my former professor is one of the directors of the rn to bsn program. furthermore , they use web ct like bcc , flexible, convient, i have no prerequisites to do, complete program in 18 mths, the state universities in florida said i had to pay out of states cost which is double the state cost. the only downfall is the cost but i am eligible for grants and applying for scholarships’ need to go with is the most convenient for me.
  4. I have been accepted to the RN-BSN online program at NSU. I am excited to get started. I would like to hear some feedback about the program. Has anybody completed this program? Is the program challenging ?
  5. I didn't mean to imply that I had a lot of problems with Nova. I just mean if you want to speed up the process just continue to follow up. I will be starting the RN to BSN online program in August. I look forward to going to Nova.
  6. I agree with you. I applied to the RN -BSN online program and found out about 2wks ago I was accepted. It is so important that you look at the VIP page and if it is not updated to please follow up with them. That is how I found out they didn't receive things.Keep following up with them till you know that they have all your information.
  7. I am glad the information helped. I justed wanted to update you. I have been accepted in the RN to BSN online program at Nova. I will be starting August 2010. I am excited. I hope everything is going well with you. I was just wondering if you got started at atlantic tech.
  8. Hi,I did the LPN program in 1997 at Atlantic Vocational.Than I did the LPN to RN transition at Broward College.I would suggest to do the LPN at Atlantic.Atlantic is a well respected school, the instructors are good, the program can be difficult and some of the instructors are tough. However, when you come out of there -they expect good nurses. A lot of nurses are hired from Atlantic and BCC because they have good reputations for putting out good nurses. For the LPN program -you have to have your GED or highschool diploma and do pass a test that reviews grammar, reading& comprehension and basic math. After you pass that test you are ready to apply for that program.I hope this info helps.
  9. Hi,I am new to this site.I am planning on relocating to Bothell,Washington. I have been an RN for almost 6 years and LPN for over 5years.I currently have a georgia and florida RN license.I will be appying for a washington licensce.:nurse:I would like to know what are the best hospitals to work at and what is the general pay scale for an experienced nurse? I heard that Harborview,Swedish,Virginia Mason and Washington State hospitals are good. I also would like to know what are good areas to live?
