  1. GT-R, I know this is a year since you posted this. I'm just starting to realize what you're saying about how there are way too many books in the bundle they wanted us to get that we won't even be using. I ordered my books online and it would be wonderful if you can recall which books you never used. I am thinking of returning some supplementary books!! I hope you still log on to this forum now and then. Looking forward for your reply!!!!
  2. pistachio_gelato , do you happen to know if everything she posted in assignments is for the first exam or for the entire semester? I'm a little confused because everything is kind of scattered. thanks for the alert!!!!:) much appreciated!
  3. I've just checked blackboard. I only see two nursing courses active in the catalog (NURS210 & 211)which might mean that she hasn't activated/posted 101 up yet. Hopefully Monday! Are you referring to Craven's Fundamentals of Nursing text? Yes, I feel your anxiety. I read in one of these threads that we might be covering up to 9 chapters the first week. I would start reading already!
  4. Haven't used it in two years but okay I will tonight!:) Nice to meet you!
  5. And in response to my own question (which i posted on various threads), the professor e-mailed me back regarding using older edition books and recommended that we purchase up to date books due to the fact that we will be using ATI as opposed to HESI (probably what they used last year) Along with that comes with various codes in the current books that we'll be using.
  6. Hey guys, I also have Mrs. Preston and Thursdays for her clinicals:)
  7. Anyone considering purchasing an older set of some of the texts to save some pocket money?? Just wondering if I'm the only one. Any advice is appreciated!!
  8. Has anyone in this thread purchased any older editions of the books? I bought a couple of books from a student who was in the program last year. Unfortunately they have updated all the editions to the latest ones. For example, for the Medical Surgical Nursing book, I currently have the 7th edition instead of the 8th edition that they listed in the booklist. It is about 70$ cheaper. What do do you all think? I called the department but none of the faculty will be in this week to answer my question. I'd appreciate it!!
  9. Is anyone still left out there that would like to switch from night to day? I prefer night classes but has been assigned to the day section. Let me know, thanks!
  10. I was wondering if everyone has ordered all their books yet????
  11. I received an e-mail at 11:15pm central time last night. And it was good news!!=)
  12. I'm with you. I'm still waiting and it gives me hope that they're still sending out e-mails. I got A's in all my prereqs and coreqs. I'd be mad ****** if I wasn't given a seat.
  13. I spoke to Erica too. Apparently, they have ONE person working on sending out the e-mails and it appears that she's going through stacks of accepted applications at a time. So fear not as she's still working on it. I'm still waititng for my e-mail =(
  14. Thank you hanwinting!! Now, last question, about how many passages were there?
  15. For those who have taken the COMPASS reading exam at Truman already, was it timed? How long was the test to you? Any response would be appreciated as I'm taking the test tomorrow and kinda nervous. Thank you!!
