I'm in PA. As of now I'm not really sure whats happening with this situation. And I didn't get written up. As far as I know the pt has been receiving a regular diet for some time now. The last order for mechanical soft was written in May. My NM had to report it to the state, but I do not think an incident report was written up by his nurse that night like it was supposed to be.

I just got my RN last summer and just recently got my first permanent job on a rehab floor in a long term care facility. Yesterday a patient was sitting out by the nurses station. He asked for a bag of pretzels from the snack cart and I gave them to him. Well 20 minutes later he ended up choking on the pretzels and had to be sent out to the hospital. At the time his nurse had said he was on a regular diet. When rechecked today, we found he was actually supposed to be on a mechanical soft diet. My DON said that giving him pretzels is considered abuse. What will come out of this?? I've never had anything like this happen before and I don't know what to expect.

I really believe that the trick works. I took my test on Monday, I had 78 questions and I was convinced that I failed. I did the pvt and got the pop up and I just found out three hours ago that I passed!!!!!

I think its different for each state. I'm in PA too and I'm pretty sure that our names are not up there beforehand.

I just took it yesterday morning, so i should be finding out soon!! I'm nervous!!!

i'm in pa, which makes me nervous cause tjrnbsn already got their name posted. but i'm not sure how the bon works with updating the names. i guess i'll find out tomorrow. :/

I took my nclex RN yesterday morning and had 78 questions. I was really starting to worry and go crazy about waiting so i forced myself to try the trick today and I got the pop up!! I really hope this trick is true! I'll let you all know when I find out for sure!

I took my test yesterday, I had 78 questions and I am so nervous!! I had 6 or 7 sata and 1 put in order. I really don't know how I did. I did the pearson vue trick and got the pop up so I really hope that that is a good sign!!!

Well I haven't heard from anyone that the "trick" doesn't work. So I would take that as a good sign. Don't underestimate yourself!! It sounds like you had hard questions and usually thats a good sign :) How many questions did you have total??

I forced myself to try the pearson trick and it wouldnt' let me re-register so I hope that is a good sign!!!!

Do you know how they update it? Like is it all at once or aphabetically or ? if its aphabetically i'm in the Zs so that would explain why it would take longer... but idk

I'm really not sure. The people I talked to had theirs posted by 11 am so i'm starting to get a little worried. I really just want that trick to be confirmed!!!
