Sentara Norfolk General 5th floor
Yes, from the start date(anniversary date on your stub). If you transfer, apply first, go through the interview process and thats it, just wait for that phone call. You will need to notify your manager about the transfer or she wouldn't put in a good word for you. And that will suck. But, you're not obligated to give a reason besides the convenience. If you can, it's better to go to an icu than stepdown.

RUN!!!! 5A is not the place to work. High stress levels, short handed the the time. Ur choice and the rooms are tiny. If u want to get ur foot in the door thats fine. But make sure u head for another dept within six months. Good Luck

I would like to attend MCI in Va beach for the RN program. I have some questions for current or graduate students that I would like answered. Is anyone starting MCI this year? If so, how much is the program and how long does it take to complete? How long are the day classes? What and how many days of the week? Is there an entrance exam and what did you do to prep for itDo you know if CHKD will hires new graduates? I tried calling but none of my questions get answered so anything would be helpful:)

Can't sleep thinking about the NCLEX
sounds like anxiety. look at this way, look at where you started and what you did to get into the position your in now. Was it worth it?:) I can imagine so. So take a load off, chilax and unwind with a a glass of wine and aroma therapy candles. Get a deep tissue massage, (i dont care if its your last cent, you've earned it). This is what I plan on doing the night before the NCLEX 2.5 years from now lol. Dont sweat it you'll ace it Good Luck!!!!:wink2:

Riverside's Diploma to BSN? Or Sentara?
Im not sure about Riverside. I work for Sentara and they recently added a BSN program to their curricula. I believe if you promise to work for them after you graduate, they will compensate you for your schooling. if you are a full time employee and you worked for sentara for less than 3years you get 1300 a year for tuition. More than three years full time employee gets 1800 a year toward tuition. Plus, sentara is a college now because of the BSN program, it will look better on your resume moreso than Riverside. Oh, they also do book reimbursement. I hope this was helpful.:)
