I don't think that is true but I would verify with a counselor first.

I am applying for the spring also. We have to apply before October 15 so I think I am going to take the TEAS the second week in September. We can only take the test twice per application cycle so I have to pass this time. Hopefully all goes well. Good luck to you and thanks for the help. Keep us posted.

to icekangz Forgot to tell you good job on raising your score. What semester are you applying for?

anyones who already taken the teas exam
I do have the mcgraw hill download and I know alot of people recommended it. So I think I will try that one thanks. I did take the test once and did very well except for the science. Such random questions. For my school, you need 60% in all areas to even be looked at and then they take your raw score from the science and the math. How did the first test compare to the second one?

What did you use to study for the science portion?

science portion of Teas-insane
I hear ya. I took the test already and did very well on everything except the Science part. I have to retake it now because of that. It is so random like questions on rocks and tectonic plates.

TEAS math review help
I think the ATI study guide was a good review of the math. But the science is another story. I went to the library and got acouple of books from there. I took the TEAS test once and did very well on all sections except the Science. The Science is very general covering rocks, tetonic plates, etc. I think I had 2-3 A & P questions.

anyones who already taken the teas exam
From what I remember from the math, there are word problems, fractions, decimals, and ratios. I think I had 1 conversion problem.(It was inches to something) And had 1 geometry problem. For the math, I think just study the ATI guide. That is what I did and I was fine. Also, we couldn't use calculators.

Don't be nervous, just make sure you review. Easier said then done. Just go over the stuff we talked about on here and there are a few other threads on here that have good information. I thought the science was hard but other people on here thought the math was hard and the science was easy. So to each there own.

I thought the math section was pretty easy. I just reviewed the ATI book and I was fine. It was a good refresher. Now the science part is another story. I am waiting to take my second test for about a month. I got a few books from the library to see if they will help( seeing I didn't think the ATI book did a good job on the science section) One of them is a Nursing Entrance Exam Book and the other is a GED book. I figured the GED would be a good review but I don't know yet how well it will work. I know a few people suggested that Kaplan nursing entrance exam book.

To icekangz This is a nursing entrance exam. You would think they would have more A&P questions and less of that goofy stuff. I did very good on all areas of the test except the science part, got a 56%. Have to retake because of that.

What does it mean "Needed Areas of Remediation" on the NET?
That is strange. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe if you talk to a academic counselor they would have more information.

Anyone use Secrets of the TEAS exam by Morrison Media?
On my test there was only one or two A&P question. I thought the science section was strange because it was very general. I don't understand why we have to know about rock formation for nursing.
