  2. arkansas i started out making 19-20hr depending on facility. clinics pay 14-15hr. children's and baptist hospital pay round 12hr while the others pay 15-16hr and more with cna exp.
  3. In arkansas. I started out making 19-20.50hr depending on facility. Although 2 hospitals pay round 12hr with some of the other hospitals start around 16-17hr. u given a lil extra with cna exp.
  4. Ive been gathering info for awhile. Ive heard good things about hot springs, ar program. they have alot of nursing scholarships too. good things about morrilton community college. its 2 nights a week with clinicals every other weekend. Ive been told your lpn work counts toward your clinical hours. good things about beebe, ar program as well. Ive heard both good and bad about UALR program. I started out trying to get my lpn from baptist, HATED IT. Was sick like 2 of the 3mths i was there from being so stressed out. although ive been told they try to weed people out in that program but are not as crazy in the lpn-rn. Both baptist and UAM are known to be really hard. if u like a challenge-go for it. Hope that helps.
  5. yup. i graduated in '09. i first started out at baptist in which i was sick most of my 3 months there from being so stressed out. when i started pulaski i really liked it. less pressure. things was straight forward like regular college classes. i felt like i was actually learning instead of trying to memorize all this info for the next text. The classes was one at a time. so yes...i dont regret going there at all.
  6. Here in Little Rock, ar some of the places do consider your cna experiences and will start u off a little higher pay. One place i checked into it was like 35 cents extra an hour for a year exp. Another hospital my classmates works, i think she said he had 3yrs exp. and she was started out at 16.50 in oppose to the normal 15hr. So i guess it just depends on where u work.
  7. Arkansas Children Hospital pays lpn 11.50. I'm a new grad, june '09. I work as an assistant living 18hr nights no differential. I'm looking for somthing that pays more and offer tuition assistance as Im currently working on RN pre req. Any suggestions????
