  1. I have met people like you: LPN's who feel this way. I have great respect for you. As I have heard from my LPN friends, it seems a tough job to me. It's the kind of job that takes a person with guts(figuritively) , ethics, and lots of courage and bravery! My great respect is not for that though. Those are things you should have for that job, although sadly some out there dont. My respect is for the respect, love, and responsibility you feel towards that other human being. My respect is for that moment when you put your own love into your job. It's just a beautiful thing to read on these forums!!
  2. Thank You so much. The link was fantastic!
  3. yeah, im taking what in dade is called anatomy and physiology. have you taken statistics? and from your mouth to God's ears! ive taken away a lot of time to get into this nursing thing. I didnt always know i wanted to do this. I was all over the place with majors! If I dont get in I'm not sure what Im gunna do because i feel like ive wasted a lot of time deciding a major. i dont wanna keep having my life on hold.
  4. My grandmother is from another country and her and her whole family consider extra pounds a sign of beauty. And it is a very serious thing to them.
  5. most if not all the kids i grew up with lost all their fat in the teenage years, but now when i see them they look the weight from when we were younger! and i remember some yo-yoing in hs
  6. Im afraid to tell !!! does it matter? I dont wanna jinx it because i still have other courses to take! I have to take that class too.....gosh....its so overwhelming! i wish the prices were lower.
  7. what did your packet bring? what do you have to do now? Cpr i know, the insurance ($995??), etc.. You must be excited!!! I bet you just felt this big rush of relief when you got that!!
  8. @ thebegining of the month. the counselor looked over my transcript and said they now require 6 credits of rel or phi even though i took a phi class. In fact, more than one. Let me tell you what I was told was a pre req and maybe we can exchange a list and then ask our counselors. shall we?
  9. Thank you for that! I had been wondering about that. I dont know where you're from but down here in Miami I have rarely ever seen employees use another person. usually the doctor or nurse, even if they barely speak any spanish, just assume whatever the person is trying to say. And so it sparked my curiosity about what you just cleared up. I am going to "assume" they're taking a risk!
  10. this telling is truly beautiful! It makes me happy to hear of someone with goodness in them to open their heart to a stranger. That he got to you in this way must also mean he was a beautiful person. Unfortunately, death is certain. The only requirement is to be alive. The best part of this whole situation is that you are able to tell it with so much love. As i read, i could feel the love jumping from the words. It was truly emotional!
  11. last year when i got accepted i was told only one...now the counselor said 2.....!
  12. how was it applying to um???
  13. Its 2 religion courses, stats, and phy II. Did you pay the $225 fee for nusring school b4 you were called about your acceptance? I was sent a letter for that but a counselor there told me not to pay until i was called and told that i was accepted to the program.
  14. I still havent received any notification. I'm transfering with my A.A. from mdc. I only have 5 prereqs to go including labs!
  15. I applied two years ago to barry and got accepted but i took a year off from school. It sucks that now we have to take that test! I think if i had just gone back then.......this would have been a lot easier. Now i feel like i must act quick or else i'll be facing another speedbump without shock absorbers.
