Congrats! I need a place I can take my Bio Chem class but I need it to take place on nights or weekends. Anyone can recommend a place in NYC or Long Island?

Question I was wondering if anyone knows if they accept pre reqs taken online. Trying to see if I should apply for May 2011 or May 2012 depending on how long it will take me to complete the pending classes I need to complete the application.

anyone know of a school in either NYC/NJ/CT that allows you to complete your BSN nights/weekends? I'm looking to get a 2nd degree so I rather get my BSN since it seems most hospitals where I live require a BSN.

I went to Pace for my Business Mgmt undergrad and thought the school was great but I guess the nursing school is not on the same level as Lubin

wow that sounds like a nightmare. NUY won't accept online pre req classes thats why I was going trying to go to Pace. I wanted to do it in Westchester.

yea probably just a typo. I went to the open house in July and they said that they wouldn't start reviewing till after deadline in October and when I called they said they said the same thing but I guess that's just to keep people off their back.

so strange they said that they only start looking at them after the deadline. well congrats I guess they are BSing me.

I called the admissions office and they said that they hadn't sent out acceptances yet for the Spring 2010 class the only ones that had been accepted were students that had deferred their entrance prior to this semester. Is that your case?

you still need the GRE for the 2 year program at Pace. Maybe he took it years ago before they required it. The reason they require the GRE is because they offer Grad courses too.

well I would think its very hard to get in since they keep their classes small and have a lot of applicants. good luck

Does anyone know of a school that holds Microbiology during the winter break, its the only pre req i'm missing and i can't find a school that will let me take it at the sametime that i'm taking A& P 2 and I complete that course in November so I wanted to take it as soon as i was done with it.

you can get to Pace by taking the train to city hall, 4,5,6, n,w, j,m and z lines all use to go there in the 90's when i went to Pace

so then by the non degree want to take a class there aren't any slots open

that's strange because they are already filled up and i can't register for my micro bio which is the last class i need

I tried to take a cross there and emailed them 2 weeks ago and was told that all slots for their science weekend classes were filled. Can anyone tell when do they open their classes for fall registration?

NYU accepts pre reqs from community colleges. You can email them and ask what school they recommend. Columbia accepts your pre reqs from online schools, like phoenix. edu and University of Rochester through a program entitled,"Edvantage", offered by the School of Nursing. Good luck
