Hi. As far as the NET score you will have to contact the North Campus directly. This is where they process their applications. Child abuse clearance you will need to mail in. It takes up to 4 weeks to get i back same with criminal background. Best is to call the nursing dept directly for instructions. Good luck

Most of the instructors teach very little. They expect you to know things without a chance to try it on a patient first. I dont know how about you but I dont learn in fear and intimidation. They think if you had it in your lab you should already know it. They are very eager to punish you but they dont support you in your learning. I ve seen people in tears and being severly punished for things that could have been easly tought by the nurse instructor if she really cared about teaching. Of course there are some exceptions and some good instructors, but good luck getting one! :).

i dont know about boyce, but the allegheny campus nursing is a very sad place. many of the clinical instructors have a very little respect for the students and are running a boot camp. however, what you as a student need to do is to speak with the dean. i had never experience such a miserable place in my life. since i am about to graduate i don't care much, but i would never ever do it with them again. why the teaching nurses are such miserable b*** it remains a mystery to me.

Avoid Allegheny by any cost. And when I say that I mean the clinical instructors and people in charge of the program. I am not sure why but both black women instructors are aweful and treat students very badly. I am surprised they have been around this long, but I guess that's how they love to fail people. Also, there is this one white instructor who loves to send people home for nothing. This means you have to make up, pay 80 dollars and pray you wont' get sick the next time or you will fail the program. If you think they would care think twice. As a nursing student you have very little to say. Allegheny got bad rep for a long time now and dont be surprised if they pick on you. Good luck and if I were you I would invest my time and money elsewhere. Try other schools or at least stay away from Allegheny.

Elizabeth, Hi. I read one of your kind replies and figured I ll ask you a question. I m starting evening/weekend nursing at the allegheny in the fall of 09. I wanted to ask you a question about NUR101. I have my class and lab on Monday and Tuesday nights and clinical all day Saturday. My clinic day seems to be the problem. I need to switch to weekdays because of my job and family. What are my options? I already talked to the Nursing dept, but they said nothing can be done. BTW I looked at the Fall schedule and some NUR101 are still open. Anyways, I m not sure what is going on. Do you think Kent is flexible?
