Houston Community College Fall 2009 Pharm
Yes, they are offering night and weekend clonicals. Pharm was good, I took it online though. I have heard that they in class pharm was really helpful though. I know how you feel about work, because I had to quit my job for the program. It's crazy, and hard to find employers that will work with you. Good luck in pharm, you'll do great.

Houston Community College Fall 2009 Pharm
Unfortunately, you will not be able to start nursing in the Spring. I took Pharm last fall and was wondering the same thing. I am just now starting the nursing program. I though it was a little crazy until I realized that they do that because most people will still need to get their hep B series among several other things that are required prior to you starting the program. Stick with it though, it goes by fast.

Houston Community College Fall 2009 Acceptance letters
I was reading some of your posts about HCC and I saw that you got some books already. I am like you and want to be completely prepared and ahead of the game. How did you find out what books to get? Thanks for your help.

Houston Community College Fall 2009 Acceptance letters
I got my acceptance letter a few weeks ago. Yeah the orientation is long. Hopefully we will get out early if we are done getting out stuff done (registering, paying for tuition, books, uniforms, etc.). Congrats, see you there.

HELLO ALL! HCC and TWU
I went through the same thing as you with HCC. If you apply to the school's nursing program and attend a nursing information session they will give you the dates for the HESI. There is a sheet you can get to by clicking "admission steps" on the website I posted. Once you have that, follow the steps carefully and the ladies in the office will help you out more. That's something they won't tell you. Also, I get more help by emailing them. I hope this helps. http://coleman.hccs.edu/coleman/a-career-in-health-sciences/nursing-registered-nursingt

Wanting to be a RN, for me...or not?
Rae, I felt the same way you did before actually applying for nursing school. My family and friends just kept telling me if you don't try (because of the what if's or the option of failure) than you are promising yourself the disappointment of not getting in. Also, in my personal opinion, those that go back to school later in life do better in the classes because they appreciate the importance of it. I say take the advice you would give your children, and believe in yourself. Remember, where there is a will there is a way. Never give up, you can do it.

HELLO ALL! HCC and TWU
The HESI is simple and straight forward. You can go buy a HESI study guide at Barnes & Noble. It is not expensive. I am not sure how TWU does their HESI test, but HCC tests over A&P, Math, Grammar, and Reading. That is all if I am remembering correctly. If you have any other questions, I would be glad to help you.
