  1. We tell the nurses that they can use their own sunglasses and we also have some disposable yellow/amber ones that are recommended for use with the blue lights. If they are photosensitive I would have them use them with any photo lights, white or blue.
  2. Is anyone using a securing device in their unit for ETT's? Do you like it? How about those who just tape? What is your method and what kind of tape do you use? We have lots of conversations going on here about lots of stuff, so I am just asking to gain some data. Thanks!
  3. WOO HOO!!! Do a happy dance!!! I started right out of nursing school, too, 23+ years ago and I am still here and loving it! Congratulations!
  4. Thanks to everyone! Lots of good info! Keep it coming! :thankya:
  5. I am looking for a concensus on which tape works best on a neonates skin to secure IV's. I like the transpore (clear) tape. My hospital also uses a cloth tape (doesn't stick well). I hate the paper tape, as it seems to melt into the babies skin when under the warmer or in humidity. The "pink" tape works good for feeding tubes and cannulas, but not IV'S. Any comments?
  6. Thanks for the tip! I'll do that!
