  1. Would you mind sharing your info on what hospitals in DC this email was referring to? Or where in Louisiana this is? I would be willing to move ... I'm just ready to get started already and i'm tired of all the hoops =)
  2. i live in Evansville IN and was looking for an online LPN or ADN program. The local CC here has a wait list of around 3 years. I don't want to wait that long, and I do well with online classes (took my cna class, anp 1 & anp 2 online and did well). Well anyway someone suggested chamberlain and said they had an online RN prog but you could sit for lpn after one year (or something like that). i tried to rq info but it said they werent accepting applications form anyone but OH residents. Is this true? or was it just a glitch in the system? If not - anybody know of any online program for someone who works in a hospital (PCA) but doesn't have a nursing degree???? I'll be your BEST FRIEND if you give me good news, lol.
  3. Ok everyone I need help!!! I am searching without much luck for an online nursing degree. I do not have my lpn degree. I would love to go through excelsior or some pleace like that. I have found mostly lpn-rn online degrees. I looked at deaconess.edu which is now chamberlain, because i heard they had an online lpn degree. However it wouldnt let me request info because it said as of right now they are not accepting students that arent OH residents. I am from Evansville IN. I don't know if this is still true??? Also I am pretty sure Excelsior only accepts students that have their LPN or have completed 50% of their clinical work, which I have done neither. I work in a hospital as a PCA, I would have absolutely no problem arranging local clinicals. I have a couple nurses on my floor that have said they'd be more than willing to give me "on the job training" so that i wouldn't miss anything by going to school online. I also did got my CNA training/clinicals at a local CC. The CC has about a 3 year wait for both the lpn/ADn program. I feel so frustrated as i feel like there are just no options. I want to be a nurse sooo badly, but i don't want to have wait forever. I took my CNa class online so i do well with online classes. We did meet all meet weekly for clinicals though, but the majority of it was online. Anyhow I'd appreciate ANY info on any online nursing degree.
