  1. I am taking the LPN class at great plains votech in lawton. we have 3 weeks left of the junior semester. i cant believe its more than half over our senior semester is only five months unlike our junior which was 6 months.
  2. I am going to need a job once my husband comes back from Iraq. Im currently attending LPN school and will need some extra income to finish so I figured I would try to get my CNA license which I was told I could apply for in Feb. I have looked all on the web for info on obtaining the CNA license but have had no luck. Anyone know what obtaining this license consists of and how to go about obtaining it?
  3. What is going to be my best option. I graduate LPN school in late July. My husband is getting out of the military in May and we plan to move to Florida after I take the NCLEX here in Oklahoma since the test is already paid for in my schooling. I know many places want experience of LPN's with at least a year if not more. I was told to stay here and get experience here where I have done clinicals before moving because they are more likely to hire you since you had previous clinicals there. But if we move down there then how do I gain experience if no one will hire due to lack of experience???
  4. I will get to take the NCLEX in August. Im going through a 1 year program and am already scared of the test. I feel like I don't know as much as I should even though I have the grades. Was it really bad and what are things I should concentrate on?
  5. Not really scared of moving to florida. My husband just left on the 27th after being home for 2 weeks on emergency leave and we went to Orlando for his moms surgery. There's soooo much stuff there to do. The thing Im mainly concerned with is beginning a new career in a new city and not knowing all the regulations florida has for an lpn. Im concerned with possibly not being able to be hired on because of lack of experience and fresh out of an lpn vocational program. Do you have any idea of the pay scale or where I can go to find any of this information out???
  6. I am currently in Oklahoma where I have lived my entire life. My husband is getting out of the military in May and I finish my LPN school in July. I will take the NCLEX here and I know I will have to get it transferred to a Florida license also. What things do I need to be aware of before moving to Florida? Are there any good web sites with information for me just starting out? I notice a lot of hospitals want experienced individuals which I will be fresh out of school, is this going to be a major obsticle to overcome? I would just like some info so I can start preparing myself for this.... any info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
