  1. Ya we have to pay for our own. All my past jobs have paid for them, but I guess school is different.
  2. So my school BSN program requires a background check that we have to have done before school starts in 2 weeks! Where can I find a cheap one? All the ones I've found are near $100, which seems kind of high to me. It has to be one that can do student background checks since, I am only 20 and I still live at home, and apart from a checking account don't have much credit. Please let me know asap! Thanks :)
  3. I was accepted into the BSN program for the Fall 2009. I'm not sure about the ADN program, but the BSN program requires atleast a 2.8 GPA. You probably won't get in with less than a 3.0, and atleast a 70 on the NET exam (atleast 50 for the ADN). The pre-requisits for the BSN program are... Anantomy 1&2, Microbiology, Pathophysiology English 1&2, Literature History 1&2 Psychology, and Developmental Psychology Sociology College Algebra Philosophy Public Speaking Statistics Art or Music I got in with a 3.4 and 90 on the NET. My friend is in the ADN for Fall 2009 and had a 3.4 and a 64 on the NET.
  4. I start Nursing School in the Fall, and I have been using this summer to learn dosage calculations. I really reccomend the book, Dosage Calculations, by Gloria D. Pickar (8th ed.) You can get it on ebay for like $40. This book does a great job breaking down each problem, and using pictures of actual medicine labels. I'm half way through the book and have been having a very easy time learning the material. It also has many practice sections, and comes with a great quiz CD. GOODLUCK!
