How did you get your information about Mount Carmel being on academic probation? I just looked up the accreditation on the Ohio Board of Nursing Website and it says their accreditation is FULL. Here is the link http://www.nursing.ohio.gov/PDFS/education/09updatedRNlist.pdf . People are spreading this rumor to discredit the program, but it simple is not true. Mount Carmel gives a great education and the instructors are great too. I attended the 4-year BSN program and just graduated this past May, but I did speak to several accelerated program classmates. Most said it was very very intense, but very much worth it. I did hear one classmate had to quit because she had three small children and could not handle the intensity of the program with raising her family. I did also hear that the first year students (graduated Feb. 08) had a 100% pass rate as well, but can not verify it on the BON website. Good luck!

I sent emails to my state representative and state senator; I'm still working on the one to Gov. Strickland. I just never imagined them taking the funds away after the year was over. I asked the financial aid officer if they could do this after the year was over and appearantly they can. She also said that there were five other students this happened to and that she hated making the phone calls. Thanks for the reply.

i received a disturbing phone call today from my school's financial aid office. the state of ohio is taking away the ohio instructional grant that paid a significant portion of my senior year. this is after i graduated and got my license. i now have to take out additional loans to cover the $. what is even more aggravating is i was a recipient of the nsp scholarship from hrsa and the funds would have been paid by them if the ohio grant had not been there. now it's too late to get the money from hrsa. i'm just sick to my stomach and need to vent!! has this happened to any other new graduates this year? i'm just so disgusted!:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire

There are two locations in the Columbus area and if you go to http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex/ you can look up the testing centers in your area. Yes, I did apply and register before school was over, but my status was "applicant" on the BON website until my school submitted my graduation date. My school hand delivers the notifications the Monday after graduations which I think helps. I heard it can really depend on how fast your school is. I don't mind the questions. I had sooo many myself, but my school really worked with the students which I'm grateful for.

I graduated on May 9th, recieved my ATT (approval to test) from Pearson-Vue on May 20th and took my exam on June 22nd. I could have taken it earlier if I wanted, I think May 26th was the first date available in the Columbus area. I did apply to the BON in March and registered at Pearson-Vue for the exam in April, so everything was ready-to-go so to speak. Good luck.

I had a classmate who took NCLEX-RN on a Thursday and got Quick Results from Pearson-Vue on a Saturday afternoon. Hopes this helps.
