  1. I am a new grad that recently got hired at a SNF and want to know if this is normal. I had orientation last night for the 10pm to 6am shift. The nurse that was orienting me first got all the meds for the night, then about 11pm charted that every resident had 0 pain, was sleeping, 0 interventions, and that every resident voided 2 times for the shift. He then went to pass meds, which included a breathing treatment, which the order stated to check lung sounds before and after the treatment, which he didn't do and just charted "clear." He went to give a bp med, which said to hold if sbp
  2. Let me know if you got my message
  3. Yes they are up, but only for 1215 and 1413. Do we only register for those 2 classes now? The other 2 classes are 2nd 8 weeks so do we wait til then to register for them?
  4. or textbook and lab manual
  5. I got the Health Assessment book from the San Jac bookstore. The ISBN is 978-1-6-0831775-2. It is a textbook and workbook.
  6. I guess they are 2 different books since the ISBN # is different and the price is different. I'm not really 100% sure though.
  7. for San Jac, I went to current students/bookstore/central online bookstore, and then put in the campus, RNSG for the class and class #, which is 1413 for Foundations for Nursing and 1215 for Health Assessment. The section doesn't matter. It shows the same books for any section. For 1144 and 1160, it showed the same books as for 1413. For The College Store, it didn't have 1215 listed, but it has 1413 and you can select all for section, and then it gives you a list of the books. Hope that helps and I didn't just confuse you.
  8. No, for some reason the college bookstore doesn't have that one listed. I ordered most of mine from Barnes and Noble because the new ones were less than the listed price for the used books on the San Jac website. They have a members pricing sale with free 3-day shipping right now. I didn't order the Health Assessment book or the Foundations for Nursing book though. I might go to the San Jac bookstore and just buy both of those Monday.
  9. you can look at the bookstore for San Jac online and it gives you a list and thecollegestore.com/sjc also gives a list with the ISBN#. The san jac bookstore online doesn't give the ISBN#.
  10. Yes, I feel so far behind though since I just found out today and orientation is in the morning. That only gives me a week to get the physical, CPR, etc...
  11. Well my question is finally answered...I got in! I was just on the alternative list I guess. They called and said someone declined or didn't respond and I can have their spot!
  12. I pretty much am assuming by now I didn't get in since I still haven't heard anything, but am still anxious to at least get a rejection email so I know for sure. Is there anyone else who has not heard anything? curiouschiller, has everyone you know applying heard something by now?
  13. I just called and she said not all of the acceptance emails have gone out yet. She said something like a first round will go out and then if there are any left a second round will go out.
  14. mkhoaja, I wish I could help you, but still haven't heard anything. Does anyone know if they were out of the office for the holidays? I was wondering if they went on vacation for 2 weeks maybe since nobody has answered the phone when I called. Or has anybody else heard anything in the last week or 2?
  15. I did call, but it went to voicemail.
