  1. After completing the nursing program what I did was the Hurst online and then utilized Kaplan for their q-bank only as well as the NCLEX question book. Since you have been out of school for I believe you said 6 years, that is a long time and you need a good refresher. Hurst was perfect for this because it gave me a good refresher of the core material of what I had learned over the 2 years of my nursing program. Kaplan is good for strategy on test taking however I feel it personally does not help me one bit if I do not know core concepts like Hurst teaches and reminds you of. So my best suggestion is get a good refresher through Hurst and then if you know someone who already has Kaplan, see if they will let you log on just so you can practice their test questions and get you used to the types of questions you will get in NCLEX. Good luck to you!!!!!
  2. Don't let anyone deter you from your dreams. Like mentioned by another before, when someone tells me I cannot do something, I want to do it even more. Follow your heart and your intuition and continue with your prereqs. Nursing is not for everyone and I would highly recommend trying to shadow a nurse for a day or even trying to get a position as a nurses aid. You get actual hands on experience and see more of what a nurse actually does and is capable of doing. Good luck in making your dreams come true!!!
  3. Has anyone used the Hurst Review for NCLEX prep? If so please send me your feedback. Thanks
