Scrub question...please read
I would ask your school or the teacher, just to be sure, but I'll tell you from my experience. For my CNA class, we didn't wear scrubs until we went to clinicals, which was the last week of class. We just wore normal clothes to class. As for the shoes, it didn't matter if they had laces or not, they just had to be leather and not canvas. I had white leather, slip on Keds. And, same with the scrubs, we only had to wear these shoes to clinicals. Hope this helps!! :)

Question about occupied bed
Where in NC are you? I'm in Charlotte and I am currently enrolled in a CNA class also. As for your question, since I am so worried about the skills portion of the test, I plan to wear gloves and wash my hands any time it seems to make sense (before starting a skill, when finishing a skill, etc). But in the real world, it makes sense to wear gloves any time you are in contact with someone who can't get out of bed for one reason or another.
