FCCJ (FSC) NAT test
Hi all, I am taking my NAT again Wednesday and have some questions.. What are the highest scores for each section? The way it seems is the highest score you can get is: 90 Academic Aptitude 20 Reading Comp. 90 Natural Science this total multiplied by .64 gives just over 120 total points possible. I wasn't sure what I was doing last time I took the exam, and frankly had no idea about this program when I was taking the pre-reqs, so my total points from pre-reqs is "87". I need at least 100 points on my NAT to even have a chance. Any suggestions? I'm studying with the ARCO book for a few days before the exam. I didn't even study last time I took it and got 82 points total

FCCJ Fall '09???
Hey All, I don't think I made the cut for Fall, but I'm going to work hard to make up my points to apply next time. I currently have about 170, and did poorly on my NAT. I will be re-taking my NAT along with SYG, DEP and HUM. I made all B's in my pre-reqs, so I'm going to try really hard for A's in those I retake. What do you suggest a good study guide would be for the math and verbal portion? I ordered the ARCO today, and noticed some said it doesn't help.

FCCJ admission..
Is the "ARCO-Nursing School and Allied Health Entrance Exams" the best study guide for the NAT or would a guide from books-a-million be a better source? I've tried to rent the ARCO a few times but it's never at the FCCJ library, so I just took the test aimlessly.

FCCJ admission..
I took my exam on the computer, and didn't realize you only get credit for correct answers, and no penalty for wrong answers. I kind of messed myself up by not answering 2/3 of the first 3 sections. I was doing all the non verbal and never finished the verbal and arithmetic. So, if the time starts running out it doesn't affect my points to just "christmas tree" the rest of the section? Lastly, do you think the paper exam is better than taking it online??

FCCJ admission..
When doing pre-requisite point calculations, can you add college chemistry (intro or chem1) to the quality points? Does a D in humanities count for 3 points or none? If I take a different humanities (foundations) and get an A or B, does that grade count towards the quality points instead since my D was not really a passing grade? I'm having to re-take my humanities to meet my AA degree requirements. thanks for any help, and good luck to those who start this Fall, I doubt i'll be there

when I'm doing the points for my NAT, do I add up the RAW SCORE or PERCENTILE? (ie. total raw x .64 or total percentile x .64)

FCCJ admission..
Hi all, I have applied for Fall '09 admission to the FCCJ RN program. I currently have 164 points total when my application was submitted. I ran out of time doing the first section of my NAT exam, and suffered a loss of points from that. I currently have around 77 credit hours at FCCJ from my AA degree and then my pre-reqs for nursing. I was just wondering what are the chances of being accepted are with these details. I've read a few posts saying the cut off is 180 points, so I'm beginning to worry a lot. I went up to pre-calculus in math, did biology 1 & 2, human biology, micro, A&P 1 & 2, statistics, english comp 1 & 2, etc. I never did slack off with the course selection. I'm hoping this will help me a bit. What do you think? Any advice?
