  1. I did go - not a bad program - lots of LTC but you do get varied clinical experiences, first year is alot of hard work, so if you can make it through that you can make it through anything!! Teachers can be hit or miss but for the most part they seem to enjoy teach PN students, there can be some attitude towards PN's in the workplace.
  2. Hello, I have just been asked to come in for an interview for a new grad postion for the OR - I am a PN, and the hospital is willing to train me as a scrub nurse - I would love to get this position, but I am worried about the interview. Can anyone help me with what type of questions they would ask etc.? Any help is very appreciated!!
  3. I should have clarified - I meant practical nurse - and many thanks for all your replies
  4. I am very interested in nursing in the remote communities, as I have heard there is a tremendous amount of experience gained and it is very interesting environment to work in. However, I will be graduating as an RPN next year and I was wondering if they take RPN's up north as well. Does anyone know if an RPN can find work up there? Many thanks
  5. Going into Algonquin's RPN program in the Fall. Second career for me at 33. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do the RN program!
  6. I am starting the RPN program in the Fall and I am wondering what the general opinion of RPN's is in the workforce. How are you treated by RN's and the Dr's ? Do you find mostly good or negative opinions? The reason I ask, is because I have noticed some bad attitudes towards RPN's from other groups.
  7. I am starting the RPN at Algonquin College, in the Fall, and I am wondering what the general consensus was for the program- thoughts/opinions Also, how worried should I be about the first year?! Starting to hear horror stories!! LOL
