I got my letter too! I was accepted!! I am so very excited, so ready to learn! Would those of you starting this fall be intersted in a Facebook group? I was part of a private group in a previous program and it was really helpful to get to know classmates, create study groups and discuss projects. I'll set it up if there is enough interest.

Its been a couple weeks, has anyone else heard anything? Im still waiting here. :)

They told me that they havent finished notifying people for interviews yet. Don't fret.

I ended up calling back on Friday to find out who I would interview with. She was kind and very easy to talk to. I just spoke from the heart and I wouldnt change any of the answers I gave. She said there were more applicants than in years past and fewer spots. Of over 300 qualified applicants, 125 will get an interview and 50 will be accepted. I asked a few questions about the program, but I thought of a few more things since then. She said to expect to be notified in about 2 weeks, but Im just planning to add another 2 weeks to that to keep my mind off it. Good luck!

Yes, my interview is on May 21st on the phone as well. They didnt tell me who I will interview with though. I got the impression from the person I talked to that all interviews were conducted over the phone.

I live in Austin, but I grew up just up the street from you in Santa Fe. I got an email today to call and schedule my interview. Whew!

When did you apply? I didnt get my application in until just before the due date. Maybe they're going in order. Hopefully I'll hear something soon. What is your understanding of the on-campus requirements? I couldnt gather too much from the website, but from talking with them it doesnt seem we would need to be onsite too frequently.

I just finished my CNM (certified nurse-midwife). I applied to the post-master's FNP. I did my undergrad at UTMB (online) and I would really like to get my FNP there as well. I did call to check and was told they are still reviewing applications. So I wait.

Yipes. I wonder if that includes post-masters. I also wonder what they consider a competitive GPA. I have a 3.7, I hope that is enough. Ugh, so many variables.

Wow, what part of the country are you in? I am considering a post-master's FNP becasue I cant find a CNM gig.

I applied in the Spring for class 69. I had a nice interview and felt really great about everything. I am just finishing my BSN but Ive been an RN for a while. I had plenty of L&D experience, great grades, and generally felt good about it all. I found out that my acceptance was defered to class 72. I assumed that it was because I didnt have my BSN completed at the time, but Im not really sure. I was also told that the orientation for 71 was already full. I was told during my interview that as long as you meet the requirements you will be accepted, but sometimes they have to defer for a semester. I hope you all apply and are accepted, hope to meet you in Kentucky in December!

Well, if it helps any, I got my email. Waitlisted. I dont understand. I had a great interview, Ive got a pretty good GPA (3.8), Ive taken online courses in the past, all the criteria they said they considered, what did I get wrong? I was put on the waitlist for class 70 and then offered admission to class 72. Maybe something will change. Maybe Im low on the list, someone will have a change of plans. I just wasnt expecting this.
