Hello, I was wondering if you were ever able to secure employment. I am only a nursing student at this time, but I had an interview for a CNA and was hired on the spot. I also disclosed all the information about my conviction, but was still offered the job. I am just thankful and feel truly blessed that people do believe in second chances.

Hello, I am currently a nursing student (LPN). I have about 10 months left and prior to this I didnt have any medical experience. I got my CNA certification through the nursing program at my school. Anyway I submitted an online application to a LTC which is affilated with a local hosptial in my area. I was called immediately for an interview. I disclosed all information about my background which was over (15) years ago. I was offered the job. But I guess I am a little nervous that the person who did the interview may have overlooked something. She was really laid back but not sure if she was with HR. She said that she was going to put me in the system to be hired and I could come back in a few days to fill out my paperwork. I am nervous that if she did overlook something my app may not pass HR. It was a Felony charge for theft so I know hosptials are strict on that. I am just a nervous nelly and thinkingthe worst. Does any have any similar experinces or just some much needed confidence.

It is also a pre-req at my school. It is the last pre-req class before applyilying to the nursing program. I am pursing a BSN. However I recieved the course syllabus and it states that we will have to do a health history and care plan. Have you ever had to write a care plan. If so, any tips?

Hey, In response to the post And what do you " shake your heads" about??? I am not sure what was meant by that statement for I didnt make it. I am just getting started in my nursing education and I am NOT able to shake my head or anything else for that matter.... :wink2: and I am sure that the statment wasnt meant to offend anyone..

Thanks! so much.. I started this class on Wedesnday June 3rd and the book is HUGE.. It is my very first nursing class..During the first letucre we talked about different nusring theories and nursing history. so far not so bad. Thanks for your response!
