HI Marcee, I am currently in the program at BMCC and they look at the 4 pre clinical courses. as somone suggested earlier you can retake the the class in which you received a B. Your chances will be greater especially since you already have the 3 A's. The cutoff or last incoming group was I think 3.86 for the daytime and 3.78 for the night program.

For the bcls at bmcc go to the main website and do a search for CPR or bcls and it should come up and you have to call a number. I think I have it written somewhere if I find it I will post it.

Hi! I think july is ok but if I'm not mistaken you need to get the ppd twice. That's what I had to do last semester. Also I had to get some vaccines. But if you have all that then you should be ok. Your md just has to fill out the paperwork. They don't require you to bring the textbook to class unless you want to. Some of my classemates would actually rip the chapters out of the book because it came out easy and neatly. What another girl did was she went to staples and they took the book apart and put 3 holes into the pages and put it into a binder. Similar to the a& p books at bmcc.

Yay! Congested again! I was in the morning class and loved my prof. I think though both prof are good from what I've heard. But you def need to start reading because it's gonna be hard the first couple of weeks if you don't. if you have any questions please feel free to ask

Hey! You should call the nursing dept. My friend got a call yesterday and her last name begins with s and got her call at 5. Maybe they are still calling but am not sure.

Maybe they are taking a break or will call tomorrow the rest. It stinks waiting though! Your gpa is high. My friend got the call for night program and hers was a 3.84 but her last name was at g. This happened last semester half the class got calls Monday morning and had to wait all weekend

They called alphabetical last time so I think that's what they are doing..her last name began with a. Last semester they called us friday after 5 pm and continued calling until monday the following week..

That was my grades too, 3 a's and 1 A-and it was in English too. I hated writing papers! Your gpa should be 3.94, so you are actually higher than you think. I m certain mine was 3.94 with those grades.

No theirs were 3.9. But usually cut off for day is 3.84and night 3.77, well for fall 09 it was but it's pretty consistant the past few years with those gpa's. everyone is so nervous, I think it's crazy to call only one week prior to orientation.

Yeah I am sure you can get a job at a hospital if you are at school. Sometimes they even like hiring students who are interested in nursing because they know you have experience.

You are right about the experience. You also get that from the clinical hospital you will work at so that's a great idea. I took sociology distant learning an I enjoyed it because like you said it is flexible to your schedule. The only thing was it was alot of papers to write. And in nursing 112 you have about 6 exams and alot of reading. If you can do the psych over the summer distant learning that is best and yeah just get a& p out of the way

Hi, I took nur 112 and micro this semester and it was alot of work. I don't work but do have kids and it was overwhelming. I think if you can take psych in the summer that would be a better idea especially if you are taking an emt class. Is there any other options for your schedule?

Hi, those were the same grades I got and was accepted. You definitely will get in! I heard from other students that they start calling if you get in sometime after Christmas or first week in January. Usually you get a call if you get in and receive letters if you don't get in.

Hi! I just finished nursing 112 and to be honest its not that bad. It also depends which professor you decide to take, if you go in the morning or the afternoon. But both professors are tough and you do have to read alot. Just study and read the textbook and you will definitely be fine. I was very pleased with my semester because I was able to pull off getting 90's in the class, it is possible to get despite what everyone else may tell you. I have children and was able to get high grades and if you really put your mind to it you will do great. Congrats on getting in in advance because you will definitely get in with your 4.0 GPA. Hi! I think class begins the same as you, not too sure though. We have an orientation in July where we find out more information. I'm excited too, I'm trying to prepqare myself mentqlly for all the work I imagine we would have.
