  1. I have been a nurse for almost two years, one year in rehab, 8 months in M/S. I have an interview tomorrow in the Mother/Baby unit and would REALLY love to get this job! L/D and Postpartum are what made me decide to become a nurse! I am nervous & excited for this interview, and the fact that I don't have work experience in this area (only clinicals in school) makes me worried about how to prepare for the interview. Any tips on what I should expect, or things I should be prepared for? Thank you!!
  2. I currently live in Boise and am interested in learning more about occupational health nursing. I think it is something I may want to pursue for a career and am trying to figure out how to learn more about it. I have been trying to search for current Occ Health nurses around here that I might be able to shadow, but no luck so far. I have also tried searching for a state association for occ. health nursing, but it doesn't look like we have one of those either. So, are there any occ. health nurses on here from Idaho that can give me any tips? Or can anyone else point me in the right direction to learn more about this field? Thanks!
  3. I applied to Weber State and University of Utah last year, which were both points-based. I got accepted in both but ultimately decided to go to the U because its my second degree, so I am in the accelerated program which gets you done a lot faster. It is kind of intense, but definitely do-able. You can get pell grants to cover nursing school, but if its your second bachelors degree you can only qualify for federal loans, not grants. I have also had friends go through SLCC, UVU, and BYU nursing programs and they all loved it!
  4. I am curious, how did the assignment go/is the assignment going? How did you like the hospital there? And would you do it again?
