  1. Lol, that's what I'm guessing. They say that their scrubs don't shrink and they are sweatshop-free. So I'm guessing you are paying for better wages and material. I have to say though, these scrubs are pretty thick and ruggedy.
  2. Yeah, scrubs from Dove is really expensive. I just bought mine and they were 47 for the top, 31 for the pants, and 50 for the lab jacket. My school told us to get 2 sets, but I only got 1 due to the expensive prices.
  3. Near the end of Spring '10? It was near my finals week I believe.
  4. I didn't see this thread until now, but I got into Cypress for Fall '10 also, but declined the offer cause I got into GWC. If you guys have any questions about my grades or whatever, just shoot me a PM.
  5. Hahaha sadly, I'm not in the nursing program. I've actually decided to go into Health Science while I wait to be accepted. I think by the time I graduate, I'll get accepted because my friend's sister with the same grades as me took 2 years to get into the nursing program.
  6. Wow, good thing I got accepted into CSU Fullerton for Fall 09. I hope they also don't stop applications for the nursing program in spring 2010.
  7. Actually, last semester (Spring 09) I took Pharmacology and Human Growth and Development (Psych version) @ GWC so it would lessen my load when I get into the program. Out of all the schools I applied for, I was really hoping to get into GWC which is why I took the classes needed to graduate. I'm also only applying to schools around my area and I'm not really willing to leave home because I think it would be too much for me. I also forgot to apply to some other schools around my area, so my list of schools will be a little bigger next semester also.
  8. You know what's funny, I also believed that I would get in right away even though I've heard about the crazy waitlists and everything. I think I might pick up another major while waiting to get into nursing school or do the EMT thing. Not sure at the moment, but I have a couple of months to think about it. I'm an independent student so hopefully that would help with financial aide. Also, I applied to the EL-BSN @ CSUF and I also have not received a letter or anything about it, but by looking at the odds - they're very slim. I did get into the school though, just waiting on the nursing letter. On another note, the economy is really hitting hard for transfer students because I received a rejection letter from CSULB. It turns out that just applying to the school is now impacted. I have a 3.5 GPA and I thought I was a shoe-in to atleast get into the school. Guess not. =(
  9. I applied to Cypress, Santa Ana, CSULB, CSUF, GWC, and Saddleback. I might try and become an EMT for now because I took an EMT 100 course (which is just cpr and first responder cards) and it got me pretty interested in becomming an EMT. I might also try that CNA idea, I actually haven't thought about it. Thanks for the replies.
  10. Hi, I was wondering what everyone did when they didn't get into their program. I have mostly A's and some B's in my science pre reqs and got rejected/waitlisted from 6 schools. I'm currently 21 right now living in Southern Cali and have no other degree besides an AA. I get paid minimum wage working part time (they don't offer full time obviously) at an ice cream store and cannot find another higher paying job in this economy so I'm not really sure what I should do next. The only thing I'm considering right now is taking Physics next semester so I can apply to a private school.
