Based on the new bill, nurse practitioners cannot have their own practice without a physician working at the practice. Correct me if I’m wrong.

What about those entering in fall 2015? I got into the psych np program at APU!!

I got into the PMHNP program at APU for Fall 2015! I'm excited and need to figure out how to manage both school and work. I have a mon-fri job, with every other friday off, along with 14 paid holidays off. I will aim to keep my FT job as long as I can..heard it can be done. However, finishing school is my priority.

This is totally true..I misunderstood the passage I read in the Kaplan course book (they were only providing a scenario of a candidate who was below level of passing at the end of the exam). Anyway, PRAISE GOD, I PASSED THE NCLEX!!! So I hope nobody else freaks out over the last question like I did. Be encouraged!!

Took my exam on Aug 13 and just saw my name this morning-Aug 30th. PVT works! I am a second-timer so I am familiar with both outcomes of the PVT. And this time I got the good pop-up!! And officially an RN!!!!!!! Praise God!!!!!! So after a 17-day wait, I can cosign that PVT works.

PRAISE GOD MY NAME IS ON THE CA BON!!! I am officially an RN=))))) It has been a blessing to be able to share our experience together. I don't know what I would have done without you guys because this site has given me peace on mind..I learned about the PVT and talked with many of you going through the same things I was experiencing. The results have been worth the wait and taught me to trust God and lean not on my own understanding. A SINCERE CONGRATS TO EACH OF YOU. CELEBRATE THIS LABOR DAY WKND AND BE AMAZING NURSES!!!!

THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!! Talking with management was an incredible idea..I wouldn't be surprised if the issue is resolved before then, because they usually give a later date than what they anticipate. But I'm happy with the time frame given..totally better than nothing! And yes-I hope everyone finds out the same day. Thanks @Lauren86 !!

Thanks Lauren86!! EVERYONE PLEASE KEEP CALLING THESE NUMBERS!! THIS IS CRAZY!! Seriously, I feel like we deserve some type of refund or something..or if we have to retake the exam, the entire application fees should be covered. God forbid we have to retake-I really believe we all passed though. But this wait is not acceptable. I already called and left messages with both these numbers.

Still getting the good pop up. When I talked with my application evaluator he said told me "not to worry about it and I should be fine"..Almost as if he knew I passed already..but yet they claim their is a computer glitch...THIS IS INSANE.

Something has to be done..this long wait is beyond ridiculous..

Ok so I just got off the phone with CA BON and I was told that they are having problems getting results from PearsonVue and that they are only slowly receiving results from those who tested Aug.8 (I guess they are trickling in). Someone has been working on the glitch for a week and they don't know when this will be fixed. THIS IS CRAZY!!!! Sorry, just had to let that out. Thank goodness for the PVT..hoping this is still accurate though..staying positive!!

I am soo glad for this forum!! It's a relief to chat with others going through the same thing. Plus I would be extremely distraught not seeing name name on the BON by now. But with the support of everyone from allnurses, I have an understanding of the delay..and learned about the PVT!! So there's hope:)

I understand your frustration..i"m still waiting too. But I thought the BON updates only Mon-Fri..Would your name show up on Sat? Oh nevermind..if they update mon-fri, that includes today and I assume results can still post Sat. I guess I have lost sleep over this long wait lol. But for the sake of your peace of mind, allow your name to show up after the wknd.

I took my exam on Aug 13 and in the same boat as you: getting the good pop up but still no name on the BON. It seems as if nobody has heard anything yet who took the exam on the 13th so I feel better that I'm not the only one. I guess we wait til Monday..however does the weekend play a factor since they only update Mon-Fri.? I wonder if we have to wait until those who took their exams on the 11th find out their results-which could be Monday for the 2 wk mark..then those who took their exam on the 12th will find out Tues..and so on?? Sorry if this sounds confusing..but it's just my guess..nothing in stone..

I took mine last Monday too and also received the good pop up. Still haven't seen my name yet either. Apparently others are still waiting as well.

This is now disturbing..maybe everyone is getting the good pop up, pass or fail..I hope this isn't true!! I know CA BON is working hard...I just wish they had a better system..maybe quick results or something because the wait is nerve-wrecking.

Seems like CA is having issues with the timing of names showing up on the BON site..I sure hope the PVT is accurate in CA.

I did the PVT..still hesitant to count my chickens before they are hatched..hoping this PVT is still accurate in the state of CA.
