  1. I'm on the same boat. My husband and I just left Cancun, and I'm ready to pack my bags and hopefully retire there and if at all possible continue working as an RN. If anyone has any suggestions please let us knowí ½í¹í ¼í¿»
  2. Hello guys, So i took my NCLEX and finished with 75 questions.. I came out of the text 100%confident that i didn't pass. The questions were all content based and over 20 SATA..I was so frustrated that not one question resembled what I had prepared for via Kaplan.. I will confess that I took almost 5 months post RN graduation to take it. I tried the PVT soon after my test and I stopped after i enter my cc info and pressed submit. It didn't give me the pass "pop up", so I didn't continue with the transaction bc I didn't want to be charged the $200. Besides, I can wait for my fail notification in the mail.....Study study that content guys..Very important. Good luck to all.
  3. Blue_Jeans, I will keep you all posted. The process of getting everything ready for the program is quite tedious, and expensive. Get ready to fork out some good money. Just in books, I spent close to $700 dollars and that's buying them through various internet sites (ebay, amazon etc...) I was fortunate to have a previous student give me her uniforms, but they run around $100 a set. You'll need at least two sets. For the physical/health clearance, I spent close to $300 dollars, and I'm still in the process of getting more vaccinations. My titters were low on the hep B. so I have to get a series of three shots. If you have medical insurance-I'm guessing the insurance "might" cover it. Phewww.....We're also required to purchase some other misc. supplies ; stethoscope, blood pressure machine, pen light etc., that can run around $150. However, it's all been worth it because I've been waiting for this opportunity for over ten years. Tomorrow is my first day, and I'm eager to begin my nursing school venture. Never give up applying- keep trying and be persistent-your turn will come too:) Ciao!!
  4. Hello Xtina, I was accepted for the fall 2012 RN cohort at PCC, and I'm wondering if we have to wear our uniforms on the first day too. Since you're in the program already what's the answer please? I don't want to be the only one wearing my uniform. Thank you kindly:)
  5. Blue Jeans, Thank you!
  6. Willowita,I've been going to PCC probably before you were even in grammar school( sorry for the assumption), therefore, have priority registration;). In a nutshell, I'm an old fart;/ I've heard some positive comments about hyatt- I think I'm going to take her for N50,N50s and Berg for all the rest;). Do you have any suggestions. All their RN instructors are very highly regarded;we are in good hands:)
  7. Blue jeans,Yes, only PCC, until last year December-I ventured to try National university's BSN program. I took three of their classes before getting my acceptance to PCC. Stats: all A's only 2 B's(Micro & English 1A), no repeats, and did extremely poorly on my TEAS compare to all the scores disclosed on this forum.
  8. Hi SoCalCrystal, I was wondering if you were accepted in to the RN Spring program? If so, I was wondering if you can give us a little info, on what to expect. I was accepted to the 2012 cohort and very nervous. Any info(preference of instructor's, homework, time required to study, work possibilities etc.)will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much! You can also email me at [email protected].
  9. wollowita, Thank you for that information, funny enough I just picked up the packet. Did you already register for classes?
  10. I'm soooo excited, I got accepted to the PCC 2012 fall RN cohort!!!! I didn't make the orientation, can someone please shed some light as to what was discussed. FYI..I've been applying since 2009 and finally got in....Don't loose hope:)
  11. Thanks for the information Jake, it will come in handy for my upcoming class this month. Are you by any chance selling your book? Thanks!!
  12. hello Cabo, how much are you selling the book for and is it a 2nd edition? thank you! Alex
  13. hi atarkehin, Did you already receive a letter indicating you have to take the teas? Or has anyone else received any correspondence from the program? Thanks.
  14. Hi there, Unfortunately I didn't get an email. I was glued to my email all day and nothing came from PCC. Last week I spoke to the receptionist and she said they would send out the acceptance letters via email on the 20th. Did anyone get an email?
  15. Hi Snook, No I haven't, I'll look into that school too. Thank you guys:)
