  1. I teach LPNs and I have them taken everyone's vital signs in the class. (I have 24 students) I compare the readings once they turn me the form back in to see just how close they are to each others. We also have a manikin to assess on and I have a couple of double stethoscopes to make sure they are hearing what they should be.
  2. I'm in Tennessee and it is REQUIRED that you have to be one level up to teach a nursing program i.e. LPN taught by ADN, ADN taught by BSN, BSN taught by MSN I agree, sounds a bit iffy to me.
  3. I teach in a LPN program and teach EVERY subject. Needless to say, I don't know them all. I came from trauma, L&D, and ophthomology so I have spent MANY hours over the last 3 years studying myself on things that I was not real familiar with. It has gone well. I also do their clinicals with them. We are on several different floors so I have learn to ask the nurses a lot of questions and they have been great!
  4. I just completed my MSN of Education (yeah,me). I work for Tennessee Technology Center in which I teach the entire course of LPN, including clinicals. I really love what I do and still cannot believe I get paid for it!
  5. I am an instructor for a LPN program and for the month of January, we have tests every day but 2 days. We will have 1-3 test on those days. The LPN program is a fast paced program and you have to stay on top from the beginning, so be prepared.
