Denied Ca LVN license for class C traffic violation?
Nowa days you can get a suspended license just for Jwalking! Now I'm sure you have Jwalked before? and if you would say you never have I wouldn't beleive you. Besides I don't think "Murphys" law applies to the case in point. Maybe a little bit of 'Self-Righteousness' applies to your comment, coming from someone that beleives it could never happen to them perhaps? I love it when those who like to judge and call names find themselves in the same boat years down the line! Intriguing.

Denied Ca LVN license for class C traffic violation?
Congratulations!!!! I'am posted on here with the same situation, I too live in Cali. and have traffic fines from 9 and 10 years ago. Mine are similar to yours (driving on a suspended, no registration, no insurance) I passed my NCLEX in June and I turned in all my paperwork in May!!!! But as you know they wont waist there time to investigate your priors until you pay to take the test.

California BON investigating 2 misdemeanor driving convictions from 10 years ago!!!!
Hi Karl, from my understanding the driving on a suspended license holds a fine of $600. The BON told me that anyhting even traffic fines over $300 must be reported. There was no criminal offense and I did not get arrested. I'm just wondering how many traffic tickets does the BON take into consideration or the type of traffic violations before they deny an application??? and Thank You for responding.

California BON investigating 2 misdemeanor driving convictions from 10 years ago!!!!
Hello everyone!!! Ok here's my story, about 10 years ago in 2001 I was caught driving on a susoended license in my ex-boyfriends car. I didn't know it was suspended because the DMV had sent out the letter the day before I was stopped and did not receive the notice of suspension until after the fact. The officer pulled me over for having a tail light out which he then proceeded to tell me that the DMV had just sent out the letter the day before. To make a long story short they towed the car and the officer (nice fellow) drove me home. Now 1 year later and some change in 2002 I was stopped again for a speeding ticket but was driving without a license, license was valid. I was just absent minded and forgot it in my other purse. The fine in 2001 was $600 and the fine in 2002 was $500. Now rewind to 2011, I have passed my NCLEX and when I filled out my application I disclosed my most recent conviction from 2002 because in all honesty I really forgot about that incident from that night. After waiting 1 1/2 months for them to "investigate" the 2002 ticket now they want to "investigate" the second. I dont understand?????? There were no drugs involved, no alcohol was involved. They were traffic tickets and thats it. I have been an outstanding citizen except for my traffic violations, Now they are asking me why didn't I disclose the traffic fine from 2001. I really need to work and can't take the hold up any longer. My question is since I have passed the NCLEX can I just go to Nevada or Texas and apply there??? My results have alreaddy showed that I passed. All my hard work and studying just seems to be in vain now. It all really seems like a cruel joke that the BON is playing on me. I'am willing to relocate if need be. Any advice is greatly appreciated:up: -Jobless and Helpless in California

NURADN 3 at Chaffey College
Coming From a Prospective Chaffey LVN student............ Sorry I have no advice but if you would be so kind as to tell me if going up the careeer ladder ie.(CNA-->HomeHealthAide-->LVN) is the way to go or at least gets my foot in the door to becoming an LVN. As I'am currently enrolled at Chaffey College for the CNA program there starting August 24, but just unclear if I'm taking the long route in getting my LVN license I went to the information meeting for CNA's but that was a little vague. As I have missed the information meeting for LVN's. Again I'm sorry for any inconveince and if I hear anything about the NURADN 3 I will be the first to let you know! =-) Thanks!

Nearly 1 million Californians seek medical care in Mexico annually
I used to work in the Dental field and would see it all the time......Patients going to Mexico to have work done. And I can promise you that all of the patients who got there work done there came back to the states with problems (ie. fillings done with decay still left in the tooth) So this is nothing new. Although I have read articles in the past where patients went to other countries such as India to have open heart surgeries done. And the patients said the costs plus the actually cost of the trip still came out cheaper than what it would have cost them had they elected to have it done in the states.
