  1. hey, Im in Cinci. I went to my class at a place called Grant Vocational School. The class with books included was 400 about a year ago. Good luck. I actually take my test in 2 days and the place Im working for is paying for it. Good luck!
  2. hey, I am an STNA. Im a big guy too and I think that if your approach is gentle and kind then it won't be an issue. But it is a known fact that some women only want female aides and that is their right. If you sense they are uncomfortable or non complient I always ask if they would prefer a female aide. If you work in a place where theres a lot of teamwork then there shouldnt be a problem. As far as money, it really varies on shifts and everything. I make 11.68 and hour and since I work thirds I get an extra dollar an hour. I have also done home care and that was 10 no matter the shift. Hope it helps!
  3. 1) 68 X 2.2=149.6lbs 2) 1000/24HRS = 41.7 of d5 solution am I even close LOL??? Your pretty much amazing for being so helpful. Thanks- JT
  4. Thank you SOOOOO much for the reply. That really helps a lot. I am pretty organized since I have paperwork for my current job so thats not a huge problem. MY last question(I promise). I am so petrified of math so my question is, what are so examples of math that are on the tests??? Thank so so much. Its greatly appreciated. JT
  5. Hello, I also applied to Raymond Walters. I am SUPPOSED to be starting fall 2010. I got number 69 on the list. I had a friend who got in this year and she showed me her binder and I nearly had a small seizure. It was massive. My question to anyone who has gone thru is this, How much paperwork AND math would you say you used during clinicals??????? Also, IDK if this is the case with everyone, but when I start I will ahve all my classes done except for strictly clinicals. Everything else will be done. Is that some kind of advantage for me?????? Thanks guys
  6. Thanks for the info. Thats so good and hopefully I wont be waiting forever. I had a few specific questions. One is when you do clinicals what kind of homework do you do, and does a lot of it require math. MAth isnt my best area. And secondly did you take stats for health sciences? I am taking that in the fall and wanted to know how hard it was. Thanks so much- JT
  7. Hey everyone! I have been at UC for a few years now and I recently changed to raymond walters to do their nursing program. I only have 5 actual classes left to do but the wait to do clinicals is 2 years. I wanted to know from any students that are possibly in the program or on the waiting list how ,long you were on the list and what clinicals are like?? To everyone else, what is your school like? I have been wanting to know more about surrounding nursing schools like Christ, Hondros, etc. Thanks.
