I will be working part time around 30 hours a week if I can.

Between Christ and Good Sam: Which to choose?
I got my CNA from Cincinnati State back in the summer of 2009. I was already working at Childrens as a Room Service attendant in the food service department then I just transfered departments. All you need is your CNA or yea if you are in Nursing you need to have completed a clinical.

Between Christ and Good Sam: Which to choose?
thanks, yea I am a little sad I would have been done if I would have went when I first got in but I had no way to pay it and they took out the program where you work for Christ Hospital after graduation and they will pay for your tuition. When are you applying? He said that there are over 100 seats for fall available. They have changed admissions a lot. Before you had a deadline to apply only once a year and you would find out in March. They get a lot of applications.

Between Christ and Good Sam: Which to choose?
I plan on starting in May because I still need some general education completed. I am actually meeting with Bradley the admissions reps in a few days to see what I need. I plan on going to UC later to do the RN-BSN. Christ graduates have many options to get their Bachelors.

Between Christ and Good Sam: Which to choose?
hello, I am applying to christ as well, I have gotten in 2 years in a row and could not attend bc they didnt have financial aid and now they do I will attend!!! this was my only reason for not going and I would still start clinicals faster than at good sam. Good sam is a great college, I work at Childrens and many of the nurses earned their degrees there. Many also went to Christ college. I shadowed a nurse in the NICU at childrens who went to The Christ college. there are many post about both schools. I dont think you will regret your decision weather you choose christ or good sam. They are very well respected. I do believe Good Sam is more pricy than The Christ College though. Is this your first time in college?

Accredited 2 Year Nursing Schools?
hello, some of these schools have a 2-3 year waiting list, Cincinnati State, Good sam (waiting list less than a year), Raymond Walters College, these ones dont have a waiting list Christ College of Nursing, Bohecker. There also Bachelor's Program at University of Cincinnati, Xavier, Mount SAint Joe and Miami Univerisity. Whoever told you Hondros, Cincinnati State, and Galen are not accredited lied, those are great nursing programs they have high N-Clex rates. Hondros has no waiting list I forgot to put it in earlier. Brown Mackie...I didnt know they had RN program only a LPN. you can sit to take boards but will not be able to transfer credits to another institution.

i got in again at the christ college of nursing 2yr in a row
hello, just wanted to know how hard is the program now that you are in it half way and if some people have dropped out also if you choose you clinical sites and if is feasible to work. I dont know if you remember but I plan on applying this spring for next fall. I have a pre nursing gpa of a 3.64 and I have A and P 3 to take and so far I have a 88% we just took our first exam. I am shooting for a 90% but if I get a B my gpa will drop to a 3.58. The people at the College of nursing said they admitted 176 total for this fall. 120 at main with the lowest gpa a 3.338 and at Clermont with a GPA of 3.2. I need to get into the main campus bc that is where I live. They said the gpa cut off has been around a 3.4 in the past 2 years and this year was the same so I am sure if it remains the same I will get in even if I get a B in my A and P 3 class. I am also supposed to start Raymond Walters ADN clinicals that fall so if I get into both I ll have to choose the cheapest and most flexible route. thanks.

who is applying to the christ college of nursing for fall 2010
hello, there is a mandatory day we have to go in july i believe, and they will fit us for uniforms, take our pic for our id and to make sure we have our physical and shots done. If I am not mistaking I think thats when we will also be able to register, but then again I am not sure... but I am hoping thats when it is because usually registration is done well ahead of first day of classes. This will all be in the information packet they should be sending out next week. I live in the clifton area, right by the university hospital on the street called martin luther king. its so close to the school, like I said previously I was a current UC student so there are a lot of student housing around, to me is not a bad area at all I been here for 3 years and I feel secure. You should visit some places and check out the vibe, I like the gaslight district over there by ludlow by good sam hospital is a nice historic quiet area. I mean there are things that happen here and there but as long as you stay away from certain neighborhoods like corryville and avondale you should find that clifton is a nice area. maybe you should check out some websites like gaslightproperties.com or uptownrents.com (more pricey but a lot of selections) there are also a lot of apts right next to the christ hospital. I like living in clifton because its close to the major hospitals and I work at childrens hospital so everything is near me. I have also been here awhile so I am accustomed to it I guess but I would recommend it to anyone. You just got to know where to look. If not maybe newport kentucky, I have heard is a nice area. I am goin to turn in my money today, I almost forgot. anywyas, hopefully I get to meet you soon and all the other students.. good luck.

who is applying to the christ college of nursing for fall 2010
hi there, yea i went last friday i have visited the campus numerous times is a small institution and its right next to the christ hospital they have a tunel that connects you from the hospital to the college when you have to go to clinicals you take that route, they have a lot of new technology and the building is only 10 years old but the school has been in place since the 1800's and they have some of the old memobiblia left and it looks very very nice, the staff is really courteous and you can tell you will get a lot of attention, everytime i go visit it reminds of why i need to go there lol let me know how the visit goes bye.

Question about Greater Cincinnati RN Schools
i talked to my advisor at uc and she said even though christ does not require chemistry you would have to take it to do a rn to bsn and they have have programs with other schools to do the rn to bsn so the only difference btwn christ and good sam is that good sam has chemistry in their curriculm there is a waitilng list and it is more expensive. so either way both schools are good for the rn-to bsn route. this is what i would like to do as well so i have done research.
