Everest or not? Alternative options! Help PLEASE!!!
Ok, so how about community colleges and public universities in the Tampa Bay area? Which are the easiest/quickest to get into the nursing program. I am new to Florida and feel like I really know nothing! I've been accepted into a nursing program at Everest University and classes start Monday though I still feeling uneasy and completely stressed out about whether I should go ahead and attend or not. I have checked out State College of Florida and looks like there's not too many prerequisites there, anyone know about that? Or how about St. Pete College, is it hard to get into? Everest sounds nice because I can be completely done and working as an RN in 2 years from now. I turned 30 yesterday and I really really want to get started in my career and feel like I'm doing something with my life. But I do not want to be in debt and not be able to buy the house I want, etc. because of it. I really dont know what to do and I have to make the decision quick before locking into this thing Monday. Any advice greatly appreciated!

I'm really getting nervous here!!!!
FLg8r, can you tell me more about this EAYL program? Do you have to be hired by the hospital first and are they hiring often? And I see you have to go through St. Pete College, is it really hard to get into?

WIA for LPN school
Can anyone tell me how much they pay for the RN program and what schools are accepted? I just moved to Florida and went to the orientation not really knowing what it was, admissions at my school (Everest University) steered me in their direction so I assume they are on their list. I went to the orientation and am waiting to take the TABE test. Thanks.

Please help new Florida nursing student
Hi, wondered if anyone could help me. I just moved to Florida and have been accepted into the nursing program at Everest University in Brandon. Classes begin in about a week. All of the sudden I am feeling anxious though, I called USF because I eventually want to transfer there or somewhere else for my BSN. They say that they wont transfer credits from Everest because they are nationally accredited not regionally accredited. What does this even mean? Basically all you need to enter a RN-BSN program anyway would be an RN licence right, does it really even matter where it is from? My licence will not be completely worthless will it? I know the school is way more expensive, but it is really important to me that I start now and not wait on a waiting list so I really do have my heart set on attending here. I called hospitals in the area to ask if they would recommend the school or hire graduates from there and they all say yes and that they do all the time. An associate degree is fine for now but eventually I know I want more so please let me know if I am making a bad decision by enrolling in this school.
