I am planning to relocate to the Athens area because I have a son in Atlanta. I can say first hand from having him there as a patient briefly after a car wreck...it is a disaster as far as a place to work. Most of the care givers there could bearly speak English..and they were very understaffed. They are a trama center and certainly see their fair share of all types of patients. I say...beware. Sorry to be so negative. Good lucktto you. I am seeking emploment in more of a rural environment such as Home Health well outside of Atlanta.

I am looking to relocate to the Athens area from NC. I have gotten the info for applying for a Ga. license but had some questions: Are there any cont ed requirements? Does the state of Ga. hire nurses in all types of environments..ie home health, college health? Is there a good one stop place to go to reveiw all available jobs in that area. I found a spot on the internet but not sure if these are actually state supported postions. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
