Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
I believe I answered this on an earlier post, but I'll do it again since i'm already writing. :) After you take your test, log into the vue.com site. In the box that shows your appointment date, to the right of it will say test delivered successfully. Click on register, enter the same information you did last time, click next. go through the steps, and if it takes you to the page where you have to enter your payment info then you failed. If you get an error and it does not let you go to the payment page then you passed. So no you do not have to pay again unless you want to get it out of the way to test again.

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
My wife who is an RN tells me the same thing, she says I'm not thinking like the test wants me to. She asks me questions and I will tell her the answer, when I answer the question wrong, she asks me why I chose the answer I did and when I explain to her why, she starts to wonder why the correct answer is what it is ha ha. I guess I always refer back to emergency medicine and try to save lives and let the rest fall to the side. I am trying to train myself to think like the test though. I started using Kaplan and got 90% of them right, then I took the first test and failed. Then I got a saunders book and could not get anything right, so I studied it and studied my wife's patho books and started to get some right. Then took the 2nd test and failed. The I focused on Saunders and lab values and started getting most of everything right, but nothing on the test was even similar to anything I have studied. I also ordered the book that teaches you to break down the question, but it made me answer more wrong than just thinking about it. I'm pretty lost of what to study again. This feels like when I was in the military, I started out as a Aircraft Mechanic for 6 years. Just work, fix planes, make them fly. No B.S. Then I switched to Medivac and when we helped out in the hospital, wow I tell you nothing but politics and too much B.S. Everything was about following orders and kissing a$$, not 100% about the patients. It made me glad to do medivac, but that's what it feels like now. This test should not be the way it is. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
Congrats, you got the error screen which means that you passed. Go celebrate. If you go to pay for the test then it means you failed, but if it stops you and says your test is already scheduled then it means you passed. Congrats again.

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
Go to the pearson website, log in and where your test is scheduled for the appointment date it should say to the right of it in red letters "test sent successfully" on the left colum, click register and go through the steps like you did before and if it let's you go all the way to enter your credit card info to pay for the test, then you failed like me. Let us know how you did. Good luck.

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
Great story, thanks. So not sure if I mentioned, but I have not been through nursing school. I was in the military and did nursing school through them and graduated in the top 5% of my class. The rest I learned from on the job. But my hob in the military was equivalent to a paramedic, not a nurse. I am having a hard time adjusting to these stupid questions that in my mind are ridiculous and are making me look bad. But my downfall is that even though I have had so much emergency training, I have not taken classes on patho or any in depth pharmacology. My wife told me that maybe I should take both those classes and then study for a bit before retaking the test again. Maybe i'll look into that at the local college.

I Passed!!!-Ever felt down about NCLEX You Must ReadThis!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats, I wish you the best. I took my pn test today and the trick on their site said I failed for the 3rd time in a row. My test shut off after 85 questions and I almost started beating the computer in the quiet room. I told my wife I was going to give up trying anymore, but maybe I will try again. Thanks for the hope.

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
Well I just did the trick and it asks for my credit card number to pay another $200. So I guess that I did fail. I'm starting to hate nursing now. I enjoyed doing nursing in the military, but here it just sucks and I'm horrible at taking tests. You guys know I was fully qualified to start emergency Trach's and complete procedures for a tension pneumothorax, but here I can't even pass a stupid test about what patients say. It's Bull$***. I guess it's good that i'm going to school for IT. now it will be my main career I guess. Thanks for the courage everyone and good luck on your tests. I don't think i'm going to pay another $300. to keep going through this.

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
Are you referring to the pearson trick to see if you passed or not? I thought you have to wait a certain amount of time first before doing that. ?

Tested today, 85 questions..... I failed
This is my 3rd time testing, I think that test and I are becoming good friends now. First test was 205 questions. results failed. last test 83 questions. results failed but I felt soo good about all the answers. Today 85 questions, I know everyone says the ammount does not matter, I agree. But here's what I think does matter. I kept getting the same types of questions throughout the whole test. I got only 4-5 calculation questions, and a ton of questions about patients understanding instructions, and a ton of medication and drug questions. Other than that there were only a few questions about other things. So I'm convinced that because I didn't get a wide variety of questions then I must have failed again. Anyone else experience something like this and pass? I'm so depressed right now. I just got fired from my job because they don't want to wait for me to get my license, and they said I'm taking too long to get it.

Do you love nursing or hate it???
I was a medic in the military for 9 years, and I loved working as a medic, It was the best thing ever and so satisfying. Now I am out and I hate it. I have completely lost interest and the job is no longer fun and rewarding. Just drama. So I am taking up my hobby and starting school in the computer industry for Internet security. Do what makes you happy and what you love. You will learn faster if you are interested in the subject.

Challenging PN through military but RN is available.....
Thank you for the reply, I have submitted an application for the PN test. Both are available to test for on pearsons website. I will stick with the PN though. I have several books that are CLEX PN question and answer books that I used to study as well as studying A couple pharmacology books. There were questions on the test that I remember seeing in my books so I know I got those right, and other questions I even looked up when I got home and I answered them right also but the results say I pretty much got nothing right. How could I almost pass the first time then study a lot and totally bomb the next etst doing worse??

Challenging PN through military but RN is available.....
So I got approved to challenge the PN CLEX through the military, took the CLEX twice. The first time I failed but got just above of below passing on every category. The second time I studied for months and studied everything. This time I Felt as if I knew 99% of the test, it seemed very very easy to me and I felt as if I only missed 10 questions. But just found out I had failed every category with a way below average, like the lowest of the low. To me this seems to be a mistake, but I am getting no help from the board. So I logged in to register again for the test, and now I see it is available for me to take the PN and RN NCLEX. If I took the RN and passed would it get rejected anyway since I sent all my qualifications to the LVN board? I noticed that a lot of you say that the mindset of the PN test is a lot different. Well I used to be medivac in the military and had all my Emergency qualifications, ALS, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, etc.. I am wondering if this is why I am failing this test over and over again. I still can't get over that I knew almost everything on the test but failed every categorie pretty much saying I didn't get 1 question right. Sorry for writing so much. I searched for the question but did not find an answer.

NCLEX test mixed up with someone elses test?
I have used pharmacology books, as well as 2 different NCLEX study guides that are just questions from tests. Not sure of the names of them though as I'm not at home. But I agree with you, maybe the questions are not asking for the right answers, but rather something in specific I might have missed.

NCLEX test mixed up with someone elses test?
Thanks for the replies. I understand what you guys are saying, It should be impossible to have computer scoring errors. It took me almost 4 hours yesterday looking at the results as if it was a prank to finally have it sink in. I know someone else on here posted this as well and I don't understand why we all have the same problem. I graduated top of my class, got awards for it and am failing the test. I think the test might be the problem I now don't even know where to begin and how to go about studying. If I answer the questions right exactly how it says in the books, then how am I getting them wrong on the test??

NCLEX test mixed up with someone elses test?
I am now getting the run around. Nursing board says they don't have anything to do with grading the test or anything on it, they only get the results from pearson. I called pearson and they said the same thing. Told me to call the nursing board. Another 35 minutes of waiting.
