  1. well if the patient is compensating he wont have symptoms... only the lab results would show
  2. ok...well from what i am getting from these labs is that the patient is in respiratory acidosis because of the elevated co2. since the hco3 levels are also increased that indicates the patient is compensating for the resp acidosis; the normal ph level indicates that the patient is fully compensating. i hope this helps.
