This is a silly question I know but for those who received offers from UofT, what time of day did they come? If they send all the offers for each day out at 10am for example, it would save me from neurotically refreshing my inbox the rest of the day :)

Sure. My overall undergrad GPA was a 3.6 I had to take a lot of prereqs for all the various nursing programs I applied to because my previous degree was in Film so was missing a lot of science and math. So I'm not sure how those get calculated, but I got all A's on my prereqs. I'm an international student (from the USofA), although I don't think York takes that into consideration (unlike UofT). I had a decent amount of volunteer experience in the last few years, with some local orgs and while I was living in Japan as the regional charity and volunteer leader for the JET Program, but not much prior to that. I also applied to Western, Trent, and UBC. I got an offer from Trent and an interview offer from UBC. But like I said, aiming for UofT. Does anyone know how UofT sends out their offers? Is it a continuous stream, like every day or close to that, or do they send them out in big batches less frequently?

Hi John, I was notified by email on March 17 and the admission letter came by mail a few days after that.

Does anyone know, if my York offer expires on March 28, when is the latest time I can accept it by? Would that be end of business day today, or tomorrow? Or midnight? I am holding out for UofT, but haven't heard from them yet. Thanks

That's funny I came here to ask a similar question. Brittany from everything I've read, everyone is treated equally. Everyone except for international students, that is. Which brings me to my question. Does anybody know how many international students they let in each year? Maybe if some of you are already in the program or have friends, I'm looking for a rough idea. They say on the website that they give priority to Canadian citizens and perm. residents, so I'm curious how many international students make it through. None? a couple? a dozen? any idea would be helpful. Thanks

Well I think I am probably the last one, lol. Just under the wire. Speaking of minor heart-attacks, I was reading this thread (found it by googling "what the hell should i put for ubc working with people section" or something close to that) and had a mini-freak out after I read someone's post about their high school transcript. Please someone confirm that if you already have an undergraduate degree that you don't need to send HS transcript. I swear I read that somewhere, and it's under "recommended documents", not "required documents" on my app page, but I just thought I would check.

oh also, the online review that ACC has made for the assessment test covers everything you need to know, most of the "self-test" questions were on the test verbatim. takes about an hour and a half. i haven't taken bio since highschool 7 years ago and I passed easy after skimming the review.

okay just in case anybody stumbles onto this thread in the future with the same question I had, I ended up going to the Round Rock campus yesterday (Saturday) to take the Biology Assessment test for Anatomy, got there at 1030am, finished the test at 11 they graded it on the spot using a scantron machine and the woman said it would be put in the ACC system by 2 or 3 that afternoon. So I was able to register for class this morning (Sunday). I ended up getting into ********'s course at RGC. Anybody have her? the reviews on ratemyprof seem to be pretty bipolar. Also, I wanted to get into the first 6 wk session but it was full, so I might be looking to switch if a spot in *****' opens up. Am I right in that the only way to do this is just constantly check the schedule for an open slot? That's kind of a pain...oh well I'm just happy I got in to something. I was getting pretty nervous there for a bit. texascna06, did you end up getting into a class?

Doh! I guess I could've just looked around the ACC site a little more and found that info on my own. thanks for leading me to it :) so it seems to come down to "Official ACC Policy" versus anecdotal evidence. I'm just gonna call first thing tomorrow and hope hope hope that editor2rn's experience can be repeated. because I really don't want to sit here for 5 days watching that anatomy class fill up!

First of all I just wanted to say thanks to everybody on this board and particularly this thread, I'm about to start taking my prereqs at ACC and I've had tons of questions answered here without even having to ask! But now I have a sort of URGENT question that I hope someone can help me with: I was wondering about the Biology assessment test... will the system allow you to register online for Anatomy without having taken the test? I was hoping to register this Sunday for the 6 week course (with ****** at RGC...******'s reviews on ratemyprof are pretty terrible! never seen so many "worst prof ever" comments) and then take the exam next week when I have time. It's not really clear whether they will drop you from the class before it starts or immediately after you register if you do not have the prereqs. I can take it tomorrow if I really really have to (I really need to get into the 6 week course) but I'd have to take off from work and I'd rather not. thanks so much :)
